Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9
330 ml capped bottle. Poured in a snifter an unfiltered ruby-brown coloured ale with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that has a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. A lot of floating sediments. The aroma is caramel malts, fruity, spicy, floral and resinous hops. The flavour is caramel malts, dried fruits, dates, figs, spicy, licorice, gingerbread, notes of honey, floral and resinous hops. The mouthfeel is creamy, soft, sparkling and fulled. This medium to full bodied ale has a long hoppy bitter finish. A well tasting ale, complex, interesting, rich and well balanced. The high alcoholic level is of course present but never overwhelming. A beautiful gift. More a Belgian Strong Ale as a Belgian Ale.
