12 ounce bottle pours a rich mahogany brown color with a small creamy beige head. Sweet toasted malt nose has notes of cane syrup and brown sugar. Sweet toasted malt flavor has a nutty pecan-like flavor that has a clinging, chewy mouthfeel. Slightly fruity with a touch of vanilla and grain in the finish.

Comes out of the tap an opaque chocolaty brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma is weak but appealing, with malty, chocolaty and subtle spicy tones. Rich flavor has fruity and malty tones with just a hint of caramel. Average body has some decent fizz that doesn’t stick around too long. Overall, not great, but worth a try.

Surprisingly one of the better options on tap at the local Buffalo Wild Wings. Served in a glass rimmed with white chocolate. Fairly thin, lots of caramel and toffee and almost too sweet to finish. Did combine well with the chocolate rim though.

12oz bottle -
A passable example of a Belgian ale. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts, raisins and cotton candy. Flavor is a bit watery, like a whiskey with too much ice. But it's still drinkable. More raisiny like sweetness, some light caramel malts, a touch of banana with a kiss of toffee. I didn't hate this. -

Poured a nice red/amber color, the aroma was decent . The flavor was awesome, this is only my second blue moon beer but this was a great beer and i would like more of these. I Can't believe the dislikes on this beer.

toffee, malt and spice is about it. none of the robust dark fruit aspects i like in the style. this one started about average, but i lost interest in finishing before the end.

Faint toffee and malt aroma, same with the flavor, pretty tame and one sided for an abbey ale. Mid to deep brown body, not much head and no lace left behind. Overall its not as interesting/ complex as a beer of this style should be.

Not a bad flavor and aroma at first, but by the end my mouth was coated and all I wanted was a glass of water. First impressions were good but based on the entire experience I won't have this again.

Aroma of much to do about nothing, mostly cardboard with a tinge of sugar. Looks good in the glass, brownish copper pour with a thick head and nice lacing. Light-medium body with a faint creaminess and a thin finish. Flavor is rather dull, mild sweetness and a touch of doughy malt. Thumbs down on this seasonal, whatever "Belgian" ingredients they claim are used are not used properly
