Blue & Gray Stonewall Stout

. tasting this beer right after ola dubh 30+40 probably didn't do this beer complete justice but even so .. pours a brown purple .. low foam .. . light tar, a bit bitter and a light mouth .. . pretty good all things considered but too transparent for me.. . . Rose, I know that this is a long shot, but did you take much acid during the sixties?

Pours typical dark stout color, but with very little head. Mouthfeel is smooth but perhaps a bit too molassesy. Roasted coffee and caramel flavors bring this one home. A bit thin, but nice all around - with enough unique style to hold its own.

Dark and delightful. I liked this beer alot but what I liked more were the guys at Blue and Grey Brewery. We drove 700 miles to sample this beer and we weren't let down. Its a wonderful brewery that makes beer for all the right reasons. This Stout is rich and and malty and incredibly smooth. It is not the best stout I have ever had but I highly recommend it if you have the chance to try it.

This is the beer that really made me believe in Jeff Fitzpatrick! This is an elixir every stout lover will enjoy. Silky smooth body, long-lasting foam, dark chocolate color and slightly bitter, roasty flavor. Jeff, make it year-round!
