Dubbel is one of the styles brewed by the Trappist monasteries of Belgium. Deep amber to brown in color, these beers use sugar in addition to malt to boost the strength while keeping the body light and "digestible". Hops plays a supporting role in these beers, with the focus being on malt character and the complex aromatics and flavors produced by the special yeast.

On tap @ Blackstone in Nashville as a Brewmaster's Special. A nice amber pour with a decent head and ample lacing. Aromas of ripe fruits, brown sugar, floral hops, yeast. Taste is same as the aromas with a slight ripe fruitiness and a more than ample floral hops presence.
