Our flagship Freestyle Belgian Blonde is truly Belgian style - a light copper-colored ale brewed with Belgian malts and yeast to provide the distinctive yet exceptionally smooth flavor. The Rye malt we add contributes to the delicate herbal and spicy undertones and the Belgian yeast strain provides the nuance and complexity. As is customary in Belgium, we use the finest Bohemian "Noble" hops which balance perfectly with the malt and yeast flavors. The result is an ale with a wonderful, very supple drinkability. Pair it with seafood, lighter cheeses and pasta and enjoy! Silver Medal Winner of the 2008 World Beer Cup®! FreeStyle Belgian Blonde is available in bottles and kegs at quality retailers, pubs and restaurants throughout Northern California and Nevada. Op uw gezondheid -- Cheers!

12oz bottle -
Aroma - floral hop note, touch of citrus/orange peel, and white sugar
Appearance - clear golden body, sturdy 2-finger head, above average retention, lacing was lacking a bit
Mouthfeel - light-medium carbonation, medium bodied, a little thicker than what I expected
Flavor - clean flavor profile, light malt flavor, light herbal/floral hop if you look for it and finishes on the dry side.
Overall - highly quaffable. The 6-pack didn't stand a chance. Really nice price too. -

pours copper in color with nominal white head which disappears quickly and some faint lacing. The aroma has the belgian yeast playing a big role here, some very faint citrus and pear, slight sweet malt character, lots of spice from the yeast. The taste follows the aroma for the most part, yeast notes almost too much, which overpowers malt and hop characters, more sweet malt on the finish with some lemon zest on the mid palate, spice and pear notes are very forward. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little over carbonated.

Wonderful Belgian Golden that kept my interest the whole time. Amber~copper pour, 1/4" head and strong lacing. Crisp, sweet, spicy and dry. Biscuit backdrop to assertive spicy rye, citrus, mild banana, and a pleasing Belgian yeastiness. Great medley of flavors with a nice Belgian influence. A good beer to have on hand.

Hmmm...poured a dark golden yellow, as you would expect, with a mild head that dissipated quickly. As it set in the glass it looked at least above average. The taste again was what you would have expected from an average beer of this style. Nothing to jump out at you.

boooooo.... sorry. fell asleep just thinking about it. boring beer, nothing horrible, but definitely not good. next to "the LIbrary" in Laramie, this may be the most boring microbrewery. Pale, fairly flavorless, lacking distinct aroma. You get the picture...
