A orange amber colored beer with a two fingered foamy textured, light beige head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. It settles into a moderately robust ringlet. All malty, no hops to cut this. But it is not unpleasantly so. Smooth bodied.

The smell is a bit on the light side, but it does have a nice malty sweetness. It doesn't taste bad, but it's nothing spectacular. Hints of caramel and toffee are present, but the flavor is just a bit lacking. There was a strange flavor in the background, kinda reminded me of gym socks.

pours a small head with a clear amber colored body and leaves nice lacing. The aroma is sweet caramel malt mostly and little else. The taste has lots of sweet caramel. A mild spicy finish with malt intermixed. The mouthfeel is incrediblely smooth and full bodied.

a very good example of the irish red style. malty and nutty sweet, with just the right amount of hops to balance. not my favorite style, but this is a good one.

Pretty good beer. Reddish-amber color topped with a thin head. Roasted malt flavor with some caramel. Slightly off balanced with a finish that seemed a bit stale but overall it was solid.

Medium red color. A medium bodied red ale. Nicely malty (a blend of five different malts). Not too hoppy, yet it balances well. Malts are slightly sweet. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

In the past, I've never thought much of "Red Ales". Everyone I had sampled, didn't have much flavor. This one did. Well worth trying. Had it @ the BJ's in Irvine, CA

A nice burnt red color, didn't give me any head though. A fairly bland malty aroma with some spice. I have to say I was impressed that they had something 7.1 percent, and that wasn't even the biggest beer they had. Smooth, malts were present, but uninspiring. Not too bad, and a few hints of spice comce accross also.

It poured with a medium head and some laceing. The appearance was definitely red. The mouthfeel was malty and somewhat spicy. The flavor was rich in caramel and malt with a slight hint of hop. Due to the 7.1% ABV I would classify this as a strong ale rather than an Irish red. Very interesting. Worth a try.
