Pours deep coffee with a nice tan head. Aroma features roast malt, chocolate, coffee and licorice tones, very tempting! Flavor presents roast and smoky malt, quality coffee, chocolate, molasses and licorice tones plus a snip of woody hops. Mouthfeel offers firm body and peppy fizz. Ivan, this ain’t terrible!

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy brown head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is roast chocolate malts and anise.

The flavor is sweet chocolate malts, some dark fruit, anise and a lot of roast in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a solid roasty chocolate imperial stout.

Shared 750 ml bottle, thanks to gunnar. Vintage 2010, ABV 10%. Bottle No. 3495 out of 3800. Pitch black colour, rich tan head. Intense aroma of bourbon and vanilla, oak and molasses, roasty notes in the background. The fairly sweet flavour is roasty with notes of dark chocolate and coffee, also molasses, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Lovely stuff.
