The beer pours a translucent shiny yellow with a short-lived bubbly white head and plenty of effervescence. The aroma is very “Wink” like (for those who don’t know, Wink was a grapefruit flavoured soft drink in the 1970s and 80s) with some weak grains. No real hops that I can discern. The mouthfeel is light bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour is quite grainy, not a lot of grapefruit to be found. Still, add Alcool to a bottle of Wink, and this is the resulting child! -

Light golden colour, clean, with a frothy white head, average retention and some light lacing. The grapefruit citrus nose is refreshing and almost candylike, but not sweet. The taste is very mild with the grain malts and hints of the citrus. The finish is a little dry, but with not much to linger. A refreshing, citrusy lager that does the job for summer.
