Great idea, to create this beer and put the map of only the good beer stores of Quebec. I bought mine at the Dépanneur À-Tout-Prix in Laval, so it had the map how to get to that store on the label. I think this is my first old ale, after 600 reviews... about time ! Pours a hazy caramel-copper colour with a touch of orange and a nice creamy tanned head. Great retention and decent lace. The nose is very hoppy at first, but then caramel and nuts are revealed. Slight tarty mouthfeel, but quite refreshing. The taste is a good mix of toffee, hop, burnt wood and some nuts. Reminds me of a good IPA, with a bit more alcohol. Maybe a bit much hop for an old ale, but a great brew none the less.

Bottle: poured a brown/reddish color ale with a huge foamy head with perfect retention. Aroma of sweet slightly roasted malt with some hops that are very hard to recognize. Taste is slightly sweet with a good malt presence and ends with astringent hops that don’t really fit in there IMHO. Body is less full then expected and carbonation is quite high. I find this generally lack character and the presence of astringent hops didn’t so it for me. Probably one of the less enjoyable offering from this brewer.
