Pours out in a cloudy yellow appearance with a low creamy white foam. Herbal and yeasty aroma of tangerine, thyme, mint and oregano. Medium-bodied with notes of grassy hops, herbs, yeast and orange-peels. Smooth mouthfeel. Dryish herbal medium-bitter finish of yeast, rosemary and thyme. Odd yet charming.

Bottle code of 7 D; Sampled February 2009,br> This beer pours into my 25cl tulip glass with a three-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a nice gold color that shows a hint of haze and a bright gold color when held up to the light. The aroma smells most notably of pears and golden raisins. There is a touch of spiciness here as well as a bit of cracker-like malt. At first I did not get any sage, but after a bit I start to notice an up front savory note and perhaps a hint of herbal aromatics. If it wasn't on the label, based on the aroma, I never would have guessed this was brewed with sage. This smells like a Belgian Blonde more than anything.
Fairly dry tasting with a nice prickly carbonation and a tart-leaning finish. A certain savory note lingers on in the palate after each sip; a touch of menthol, a light grassiness and perhaps a touch of something like rosemary. This beer really is quite dry, it is also fairly light bodied with only a touch of malt texture to it. Some cracker like malt is just noticeable here towards the end and as the beer warms a touch of herbal honey-like malt becomes noticeable.
I like how dry this beer is, it brings out a soft tartness that makes this beer quite refreshing. I do wish that the sage was just a little more prominent, as it is I would be hard pressed to say anything out of the ordinary was added to this beer, though there is a general spiciness to this beer that makes it seem like a Belgian ale of some sort.

Sampled on 12/30/2008. This spice Belgian Ale pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 33cl flip top stubby bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is herbal and floral, some malt and fruit. Medium bodied Belgian style ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and floral. The sage adds a nice saison like spiciness to this beer. Lively carbonation. There are some serious lemon and citrus flavors that show up at the finish, which linger in the very dry finish. Interesting beer, very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart and a touch sweet.

Poured a hazy golden colored ale with a white, almost albino, colored head. Initially I smelled bread and herbs but not much else. Once I drank this ale I tasted bread, spice, orange peel and herbs. The herbaceous flavor had a refreshing yet bitter, medicinal and earthy characteristics to it.

Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with some spices (sage). Taste is also dominated by some nice Belgian malt notes with some sage also easily noticeable. Body is full with some limited filtration and great carbonation. Very well done and sage provide an interesting edge to this Belgian ale.

Poured a pale cloudy yellow color with a huge and hard to manage white pillowy head, very nice belgian rings of lacing. The aroma was floral, lavendar, juniper, and yeast. Flavor followed suit, but the juniper spicy flavor was a bit too much. Finishes with a nice peppery, hoppy bitter touch (malts underplayed). Mouthfeel was moderate, crisp, a little bit refreshing, if not for the overly junipered flavor. An interesting and decent beer, but not much more than that, especially at BFM's prices here in the States.

pours a hazy orange colour under a little unregular but stable beige foam; nice lace; charming spicy aroma (sage comes to mind but only since I know this to be used :-)), some fruity notes in the background (old apples and pineapple); some tartness due to the high carbonation, a solid bitterness (nice to see it back withoutthe unpleasant sourness which caused some sorrows to the brewer and his fans some years ago); long bitter spicy and herbal finish - it has been more than 5 years since I have not drink this beer and take some notes and I am glad to see it back at its top

(Thanks Bov!). Honeyish golden colour with huge white foamy/bubbly head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with some honey and spices in it. Totally lovely aroma. Also some fresh forest in the aroma. Flavour is herbs, some spices and juniper-wood. Mediumbitterness along with the other flavours. The herbs stay long in the aftertaste. A very refreshing and nice brew!
