Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more decadent we’ve gone and raised the bar again. This heavyweight imperial oatmeal stout is a dark chocolate smoothie aged on vanilla beans and cocoa nibs. Damn right it’ll bring the boys to the yard - and have them singing all the way to the ice cream parlour.

Bottle from the brewery that pours a black colour with a small amount of brown highlights. The head is big, creamy, very long lasting with some nice thick creamy lace. The cocoa nibs is what is in the nose over the roasted malts. Hints of wood. The mouthfeel is smooth with a light warming. Alcohol is well-hidden. Seems like bitterness wants to take over in the finish, and linger. Not feeling the vanilla, but the bitter cocoa is what takes charge. Not much sweetness expected from chocolate malts or lactose usually found in Milkshake beers. Makes it easier to sip on a winter's cold night.
