Picked up a bomber at the brewery. Pours a nice big thick and creamy brownish head and has a deep dark brown appearance, almost pitch black. Some decent dirty lacing remains. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Some hints of spices and cocoa. Flavours of roasted and sweet malts, so much coffee and chocolatey notes. Has some hints of vanilla and definitely has some bourbon in the finish. Great retention. Full bodied mouthfeel. Slick and oily sensation on the palate. Alcohol is somewhat slightly noticeable and not offensive in the least. Goes down quite smoothly. Very good!
