Re-rate, 5/07: Not much different than my first experience, although I'm bumping the numbers up a little. Maltier than hoppier for the style, yet overall a fairly balanced beer. Spiciness, herbal, spicey hops, and biscuity twist detected in the flavor, relative to my first tasting. Not a bad take on the style, pretty good ringed lacing left behind. Original rating: Pretty boring beer, although not bad. Again, a little imbalanced toward the sweet/malty side (as was the hefe I had tonite), which for a pilsner isn’t all that good a thing. The appearance was pale yellow, almost like a corona/bud product. The head was miniscule to nothing, lacing weak. The aroma was ale malty with not a lot of specific scents. The flavor was very light honey over a grainy flavor with only light grassy notes in the hop presence. Some sort of a bittering hop in there behind a very small touch of grass. Either way, it needed more hops (did I just say that?).

Light gold color. Small head. Aroma is slightly malty. A light bodied pilsner. Mild flavor. Malts are mild and slightly nutty. Hops are mild and slightly spicy. It a very clean very smooth pilsener. That said it also not got a lot of flavor. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
