Beau’s Farm Table Series are sessionable beers brewed true to a classic or emerging style. Dry Irish Stout is a black ale with interwoven coffee and chocolate flavours. Rich and silky, it suggests sweetness but delivers a dry toasty finish that lends itself easily to another sip. History & Style The stout beer style evolved from porters during the 19th century in Ireland. The Dry Irish Stout is a lower-alcohol rendition that uses roasted barley and/or a combination of black malts to achieve both its depth of colour, and its signature roasted aroma and flavour. The label features a real Irish pub modeled on one in Ballyvaughan, County Clare, and the tile mosaic art style suggests the look of the pub’s tile floor. The sign on the door says “closed” in Irish Gaelic, but as you can see there’s still some good craic inside! Tasting Notes Dry Irish Stout pours nearly black with mahogany highlights and a creamy off-white foam. The aroma offers an appetizing mix of dark chocolate, coffee and cereal. The flavour expands upon the aroma, adding an initial malty sweetness and mild raisin-like fruit. The mouthfeel is full, silky and luscious. The finish features a dry minerality and roasty-toasty notes. INGREDIENTS Local spring water, organic barley malts, organic barley, organic hops, brewer's yeast. MALTS Pale ale, roasted barley, chocolate, caraaroma, black (all organic) HOPS Organic pacific gem YEAST Irish ale yeast

First time at Pressed Cafe. Pours a dark brown colour with cola highlights, a bubbly beige head, average retention and good dirty-bubbly lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavours of roasted malts as well, with a real nice dry finish. A nice regular stout with a very dry end and lingering bitterness from the hops.

On tap at the South Branch Bistro. Pours a medium size frothy tan head and has a dark amber appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of mild roasted malts, hints of coffee and earthy hops. Flavours are sweet and slightly salty, some light roasted malt, hints of chocolate but fairly subtle. A little bit of mild smokiness. Has quite a dry mouthfeel.
