Celebrating 15 years of Bear Republic Brewing Co., this IPA is brewed from an old recipe (batch 50!) that is malty and very hoppy, just the way our Brewmaster likes it.

Tasted on tap at the 10th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/6/2010. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and citrusy hops. A medium bodied Imperial IPA The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Medium bitterness. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draft, The Bistro, DIPA Festival. Nice, dry Double IPA. It had an interesting floral bitterness in the finish that was the high point here for me. Otherwise, there was bright orange hop note and very little malt flavor. It drank above its weight range and easily held up to many bigger beers that day. The lack of malt sweetness and the floral hop flavor pushed this into the upper half of my ratings for the day. The tap list has it at 80 IBUs.
