Tasted at the Triple Rock Sour and Barrel Aged Fest on 2/12/2011. This Berliner Weiss pours a slightly hazy light yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, wheat, tart and a touch bretty. A medium to light bodied Berliner Weiss. The malts are wheat and cereal, fruity and tart. The hops are herbal. Lively carbonation. Tart and funky with some brett. Nicely balanced. The brett seems to mellow the tartness of this Berliner Weiss. Its still very tart and funk, but it seems sort of muted by the funk and must. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is tart.
