Hemmie Hazelnut Stout has a wonderful coffee-like appearance, with a nice foamy caramel colored head. The aroma is surprisingly mild for such a dark stout, making one think of a rich black espresso coffee. The first taste is a wonderful experience, with a nutty coffee-like taste, with very little of the bitterness often associated with stouts, and no bitter aftertaste. The flavor is not overpowering at all, and the hint of hazelnut is a nice touch.
