The Pale that packs a punch! Foolish amounts of pale malted barley and a ton of fresh Pacific Northwest hops put this crowd favorite somewhere between a strong ale and a double IPA. Don't let the golden color fool you; this nugget weighs in at 7.8% ABV!!

Shared one of these with my sister-in-law. Did not think it was a strong ale until I read the description at the top of the page. That changes my response considerably...it just dropped from "uninteresting but average" to "pale and boring." Looks great, and it pretty much ends there. Golden ale, thick, off-white head. Lacks and oomph whatsoever.

Really nice looking beer. Stunning dark gold/light copper body with a 1" off-white head. Aroma starts out with clear notes of honey and quickly moves to a very floral like walking into a flower shop. The hops really show up in the flavor, and they combined really nice with the honeyish malts. Light spice wraps it all up. Good beer.

pretty good overall, but lacking the punch to contend with the better strong ales out there. it's smooth, and lulls you into believing it's not as strong as it is, but it's a little on the boring side, although it does have both a malt & hop presence. interesting brew.
