A nice dopplebock from the southern hemisphere. Not as solid a colour as most German dopplebocks. Slightly cloudy, brownish-red, only a ring for a head. Lots of roasted malt and dark fruit in the aroma and the flavour. Quite easy to drink despite the high ABV.

Pours out in a hazy reddish brown colour with a small white foam. Malty sweet aroma of hazelnuts, caramel and fudge. Full and malty sweet flavour of caramel, fudge, brown sugar, almonds and hazelnuts. Sweet but never cloyingly so finish spunned sugar, caramel, fudge and alcohol. Tasty but still quite simplistic. Lovely malt character.
