Had as "The Alvinne Oak Podge" .. . Pours a deep brown .. good lord, gusher! lots of thin bubbles on the pour .. whiffs of tar and cherry skin and pits .. . infected quite a bit but if you can get past the horrid carbonation, weirdly tasty .. not the first infected beer i've had from Alvinne .. . . did you throw your burrito out the window?

Bottle: Poured a medium black color stout with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt and vinous notes are a strange mix that I am not sure to enjoy. Taste is also a weird mix between some lightly roasted malt with some vinous notes but instead of nice Bourgogne notes it feels more like cheap wine that I can procure at the corner store. Strange mix to say the least and not one that works very well IMO. Body is too light for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Strange mix that I won't be revisiting soon and not worth the price tag IMO.
