Tasted at the 2005 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. Medium gold color. Small head. Aroma is very mild, malty, fruity and estery. Medium bodied dopplebock. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Very smooth. Mildly spicy hops. Nice balance. Doesn’t have a lot of the huge malt character one would expect in a dopplebock, but a nice drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
