It finally happened. Jerry made a pumpkin beer. He hates pumpkin beers. Good thing this is the best pumpkin beer in the whole damn universe. A healthy dose of gourd-flesh in the mash and a bit more in the boil pair well with the spice-sac we dangled in at the end of the boil. Some gentle German hops help bitter up and balance out this ale. Suck the flesh. Pumpkin flesh.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Pours opaque chocolate brown with a bubbly light tan head. Cinnamon and pumpkin are the main players in the aroma, but gladly share the olfactory stage with malty and slight woody hop tones. Flavor explodes with spicy pumpkin, like a liquid pumpkin pie, while malty and subtle fruity tones follow in the wake. Wake? Whatever. I’m good at mixing metaphors. Mouthfeel is firm and smooth, yet quite fizzy. Flesh out your gourdin’!
