Early 2004 we explored new ground by blending Sole Bay Brewery skills with Columbus and Chinook hops from the USA. Using Columbus in the copper and Chinook in the cask, we created Adnams Explorer, a 4.3% ABV golden bitter suffused with the aromas of a grapefruit grove. The massive citrus attack will burst on your palate allowing all the flavours of the imported New World hops to deliver their fruity bitterness. The first release sold out in days, so this year we're brewing a lot more.

Cask Gravity at The Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. Blonde coloured. Fruity, floral and citric hop aroma. A bit of sweetness and citrus fruit in the flavour but overall not enough hop character and ends up rather average.
