In Louisiana, we like spice in our food, our lives and our beer, too. With hints of celery, paprika, lemon peel, bay leaves and a pinch of cayenne, this ale has the savory quality of a crawfish boil. We hopped it with Cascades for a citrus flavor. Refreshing, crisp and slightly sweet with enough kick to keep the party going.

    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

12oz bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up apples, a faint molasses note and then vague chili pepper meat. The taste delivers sweet annoying apple followed by thin mildly heat inducing chili peppers. Nothing all that off but the level of sweet sugar malted apples is distracting.

Pours hazy apricot with a thin eggshell head. Aroma presents malty, yeasty and allspice notes. Flavor delivers malt, pepper, spice, and subtle fruity tones. Mouthfeel features decent body and average fizz. Spice it up.
