A dark lager from the oldest brwery in Norway. A beer you will be like better and better for itch time you taste it. For me was it love at first sight/taste!

50cl can. Pours clear amber with a light brown to off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Sweet and malty with caramel and some bitterness. Quite ok.

Clear amber color with good off-white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is malty with some grain. Taste is flat, not my favorite. Small bitter aftertaste. (Bergen 201206)

A stubby little bottle reminiscent of Canadian beer bottles in the 60s and 70s, except larger. Beer pours a reddish-brown colour, see-through when held to the light head, and a thin tan head. Aroma was a little smoky, some roasted notes, and sweet toffee. Flavour is slightly sweet, some graininess.

Canned (Thanks yngwie!). Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is grass, some malts and mild notes of rubber. Flavour is caramel, some rubber and mild vegetably notes.

Had a nice brown color. Slight nutty taste. Bought a can at a local grocery store, too bad it was to get rid of their stock. Overall, a decent entry.

(Also known as Aass Dark.) A quite acceptable Norwegian Bayer, but not as rich flavour as I expected. Rerate: This beer grows on you - the bitterness and burnt tastenotes make this beer probably the best all-year Norwegian beer for the grocery store market (ABV < 4.75%) there is.

Nothing like tapping some ass. This was a really dark brew, and it had some deep chocolate coffee flavor to it. Damn good though, very damn good
