Bottled February 2013. Pours a dark brown with very little highlights. Huge brown mocha head, frothy, creamy, with great retention and foamy lace. Aromas of coffee at first, showing lots of roasted malts with hints of chocolate and molasses. Medium-light bodied and slick mouthfeel. The taste is like bitter coffee. The roasted malts are smooth until the finish, where big bitterness shows up (lots of hop) and lingers. Quite different for an Impy Stout with lots of hop. Interesting.
