This is a classic English-style ale. We were fortunate enough to get a hold of some incredible heritage barley, the Chevallier variety, that was grown in England in the 1800s and was highly sought after. It was cross-bred in the early 1900s and all but disappeared. Fortunately, the seed was preserved and for the first time in over 100 years they are growing this beautiful barley once again. Together with the classic English East Kent Golding hop, which imparts a nice flowery aroma, and a yeast from an old Yorkshire brewery, which adds a beautiful cherry and peach note, it is a simple beer, yet remarkable in its subtlety.

    Taps translucent honey-brown with a nice beige head. Aroma presents fruity, fresh malt and caramel notes, quite tempting. Flavor delivers fruity, floral, malty and caramel tones for a distinctive ale. Mouthfeel offers fair body and good fizz. Everything old is new again, even in beer.
