Year 1 is in the books! We understand that the sequel is rarely better than the original. But we feel you will enjoy this beer much more than you did Caddyshack 2, Robocop 2.. or even Teen Wolf Too. What were they thinking? Welcome to Crook County. More pounce in every ounce. Citra hops x 2 = More flavor that a lifesaver. Simcoe hops x 2 = Leg lock of deliciousness Centennial hops x 2 = Dopier than the pope Time to kick year 2 in the junk! Cheers & Thank You!

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 7

Pours a dark amber/copper color with a foamy off white head that quickly dissapates. I get citrus, dank hops, sweet malt aromas on the nose, but all are very muted. Despite all the hops in the beer, the malt leads the taste. The citrus shows up in the middle and end leaving a puckering effect on the mouth. A little heat shows up at the end as well. As a big fan of Citra and Simcoe hops, they are way in the background in this beer. I can't really pick out individual flavors from this beer as I can with most DIPA's. Thick and chewy, possibly the thickest DIPA mouthfeel that I have yet to try. I'm a big fan of 350's Crook County IPA and was expecting that this one year anniversary special beer was going to taste like Crook County on steroids. Sadly, it's not. Not bad, but a disappointment.
