Deep, rich malt flavors carry a subtle indication of roasted coffee. Smooth, yet slightly effervescent mouth-feel carries with it a hint of sweet malts and subtle notes of alcohol. Slight, non-lingering bitterness at the finish with undertones of toasted pecans and oak. This smooth and complex ale can be paired with a multitude of dishes. Start a meal by pairing it with big funky cheeses, serve with a main dish of roasted meat or a rustic casserole, or finish the meal by pairing it with complimentary pecan pie, or a contrasting salted caramel or sweet fruit pie.

This is not your traditional brown ale. If you LOVE porter and stout, you will LOVE this brown ale. It is dark, rich, nutty, creamy, sweet (with vanilla, I think) and delicious (I hope I spaced the words far enough a part to not be ambiguous). I think what sets this a part from other brown ales is that it is an Imperial Brown Ale. There are very few Imperials that I don't like! I'd love to keep ranting and raving about this beer but I think the Washington Post put it best: A star is born: 3 Stars Brewing’s debut beers, August 10, 2012 - I was at 3 Stars Brewing Company inaugural tour in August 2012. Can't tell you how happy that makes me feel! I want to support this brewery however I can! http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/all-we-can-eat/post/a-star-is-born-3-stars-brewings-debut-beers/2012/08/10/994f195e-e2f2-11e1-ae7f-d2a13e249eb2_blog.html
