Are you kidding me? Are you f-n kidding me? This beer is the most epic beer of all beers. A pitch black color with a tan head. The aroma is chocolate, espresso, caramel, and vanilla. The flavor is perfectly balanced with some german chocolate cake, espresso, coffee, and caramel. The aftertaste is somewhat sweet but the bitterness from the coffee balances everything. Is it sacrelig to say better than Dark Lord or Expedition? This beer probably is!

Wow I have become a total hophead. Stone IPA used to be my favorite but now I think this one is the winner. Bitter is an understatement with this gem. A big ol freaking pine, orange, perfume, grapefruit aroma. Dear lord this and regular IPA are perfect in the aroma dept. It pours a deep orange color with a moderate head. The flavor is orange peels, a bottle of pine perfume, lemons, and some bitter ass hops. I could live off this stuff. The aftertaste is somewhat creamy and sweet but BITTER as well. I am worthy of the 100 IBUs beoch. Perfect on ya!

A dark copper appearance with a beige head. The aroma contains some alcohol, cherries, raisins, and vanilla. The flavor contains some dark fruits like raisins and dates. I also taste some coconut, figs, cherries, and molasses. The brandy is present but not overwhelming. The finish is warming with the alcohol coming through. This one wasn’t too hot or sweet. A very well balanced beer. For the time being I believe this is my new favorite beer!

Aroma is chocolate, toffee, and raisins. Appearance is pitch black with a large tan head. The flavor is perfectly balanced with some milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and whiskey. The aftertaste is somewhat bitter. This is one amazing impy stout. If you’ve never had it you must get a bottle right now!

This is one of the best Belgians Ive ever had. Complex is an understatement. Every sip of this is like heaven. Peaches, raisins, plums, vaniila, cherries, almonds... you name and its there. Good mouthfeel. Keep that corkscrew handy and be prepared for an awesome beer at a reasonable price!

A very complex and flavorful belgian. Good warming effect with the alcohol. This one is pricey and hard to find, but you must try it at least once in your life.

I had this with Westy 12. Wow! This is one excellent belgian ale. Dark and complex flavor mainly dark fruit with a slight smokey feel. It hides the high ABV well. Great for sipping. A little costy but hey life is short, so treat yourself every once in a while.

Dear merciful god this is good! Aroma is an amazing whiskey filled coffee fest. Apperance is pitch black with almost no head,. I taste all kinds of stuff in this like vanilla, cherries, chocolate, coffee, etc etc. The aftertaste is somewhat sticky. Thanks for sharing the bottle Barnyard and JaIce!

2003 VINTAGE - Wow damn this is good! Hoo Hah! It pours a brownish red with a rather large head. Most barleywines Ive had thus far bend themselves either too sweet or really hoppy. Well this one finds the happy medium. A nice cherry, vanilla, raisin, molasses, and almond flavor. It hides the alcohol extremely well. This one manages to find balance despite the high ABV. So there it is my favorite barleywine right now. Awesome!

This poured a pitch black color with a dark tan head. Aroma contains milk chocolate, coffee, and some dark fruit. The flavor is intense and comlex with some sweetness from the chocolate and mocha flavors and bitter from the coffee and licorice. The finish is bitter up front then sweet with some alcohol showing on the back end. Overall this is amazing.

Amber color with a white head. Aroma is amazing with caramel, pine, perfume, oranges, lemons. The flavor is well balanced with some bitterness but a good malty component. Very resiny stuff with a lot of orange peel coming through. Overall this is amazing.

Pitch black with a beige head. Aroma contains a good dose of coffee and chocolate. The flavor has an espresso like characer with some dark chocolate and licorice. This is very bitter and delicious. Holy crap is this amazing. The finish is like eating dark chocolate covered coffee beans then comes the milk. Im floored by how good this is.

This is the best of the IPA style. Aroma is amazing full of hops and very floral. Appearane is golden with a nice head. Mouthfeel is slighty bitter. Flavor is hoppy with a citrus note. This is not just a hopfest, its very complex and tasty. Overall about the best beer a true lover of hops could ever hope to find.

This is a top notch beer. Pours almost black with a good head and lacing effect on the glass. Aroma is of chocolate and malt. Taste is amazing! Its a coffee/chocolate taste with enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. An excellent dopplebock and very similar to a porter except more alcohol is present. A world class beer!!!

An underrated Belgain. Complex flavor of pears, peaches, oranges, plums and some alcohol. Rich palate. This is one bad ass Belgian! Try one right away, you won't be sorry.

Wow! Hops, hops, and more hops! Dark orange appearance with a fair head and good lacing. Flavor was hoppy and slightly sweet with some sour citrus fruit lurking in the shadows. Full bodied and very complex.

A dark black appearance with a tan head. A roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. A nice alcohol, dark chocolate, coffee, plum, licorice, and tobacco flavor. The aftertaste is bitter and warming. This isn't as "big" as some imperials but this may be one the top stouts I've ever tried. It is certainly the most balanced stout I've yet to sample. IMO it's up there with Alesmith Speedway Stout. This is a mighty fine underrated stout!

This is the summer ’04 edition. I could smell this as I poured it. A very citrus, pine, floral, hoppy, caramel, aroma. BANG! A copper color with a moderate head. The flavor is absolutely amazing POW!. A very bitter taste mixed in with some sharp orange peels, caramel, pine, lemons, and grapefruit. God the complexity of this IPA is just amazing. And the balance is perfect. Its not just a hop assault on your palate, it has a decent amount of malt to back up those little aggressive hops. BLING!. This is by far one of the best beers I've ever had!

Wow this one is fan-freakin-tastic. Dark fruit, smoke, and coffee aroma. It poured almost pitch black with a moderate tan head. This one was somewhat sour but mostly bitter with smoke, raisins, coffee, and chocolate. Extremely full bodied with very little alcohol showing through. Overall it was awesome.

Thanks Sassy. This was damn good stuff. A big chocolate, smoke, and whiskey aroma. The appearance was pitch black with a large tan head. The flavor was sweet chocolate, whiskey, raisins, roasted malts, coffee. The whiskey flavor isnt overpowering and the alcohol is hidden well. A freaking gem right here!

Wow this was freaking awesome! A deep orange appearance with litte head. A big aroma of oranges, perfume, and citrus. The flavor is rather sweet but not overly so. The flavor is orange peels, grapefruit, caramel, vanilla, tangerines. Extremely complex and I was floored by how good this really was. Terrapin is the East Coasts answer to the big West Coast breweries

Hell yeah thanks for bringing this one to share LilKem. The aroma is fantastic with some chocolate, raisins, dates, and licorice. The flavor is really sweet and velvety with a strong dark fruit presence. I taste raisins, chocolate, licorice, marshmellows, and molasses. Give this one a few years to mellow out and it will be perfect. But its still one of the better stouts Ive had however its nothing you would want to sip on all night.

A yellowish orange appearance. A funky aroma consisting of vinegar, mold, lemons, and vinegar. The flavor was lemon, hay, salt, vinegar, cheese, and orange peel. It was very complex and funkdified. Overall it was a great one.

Pucker up! A dark amber appearance with a large head. The aroma consists of vinegar, cherries, and oak. The flavor is really really sour with some funk, vinegar, cherries, sour apples. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated. Damn this was good!
