1 Otro Mundo Strong Red Ale Argentina Strong Ale 3.6

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

A murky copper color with a tiny beige head. The aroma contains some caramel, candy goodness, and molasses. The flavor is rather malty with some cherries, citrus, and caramel. The palate is a bit thin on this one. Overall this is pretty much a clone of my long time buddy Mendocino Eye of The Hawk........which = a big beer that hides the booze well, offers up ok flavors, reasonable cost! I kind of like it!

2 Antares Barley Wine Argentina English Barleywine 2.6

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5

Ah a barleywine from Argentina, cant wait! Sarcasm aside.....An amber apperance with a little head. The aroma is citrus, hay, and corn. The flavor is a bit sweet with some caramel and grassy notes. The citrus is showing through again. I’m not sure what the goal of this beer was but it is hands down the worst barleywine I’ve had.

3 Balashi Aruba Pale Lager 2.1

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 5

This poured a pale yellow color with some odd lemon detergent aroma. The flavor is Heineken. Yes folks I didnt describe it I said Heineken. We’ve all had it before, you know the taste. Lets hope its cheaper and less trendy though!

4 Fosters Premium Ale (Special Bitter) Australia English Pale Ale 3.0

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Not a half bad beer. Its basically a Fosters with some malt thrown in. Appearance is amber with a moderate head. Aroma is weak and not that pleaseant. Flavor is weak and watery but does have a little bit of malt flavor. Much better than regular Foster's but its the fat kid on the playground in the Bitter catergory!

5 Australian King Lager Australia Lager 3.3

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Dark golden appearance with a large head and good lacing. Aroma is sugary and floral. Flavor is quite sweet with some diacetyl noticeable. It has a slight sour twangy taste. This one isn't bad at all. My only complaint is the sugary sweet aftertaste. This will do well for a light lager especially since it was less expensive than a sixer of swill.

8 Boags Premium Lager Australia Lager 1.8

Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 4

A pale yellow color with a moderate white head. The aroma is unappealing with some corn, cat piss, and grass. The flavor is grassy with some creamed corn. That damn skunk flavor is running up my nose. Thank god I only bought a single.

9 Fosters Lager Australia Pale Lager 2.4

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 5

Hyped up as import beer from Aussie. Well here in the US its an "import" from Canada. Slightly better than the mega macro lager but not by much. Typical lager with a slight malt profile and hint of bitterness. Otherwise just a basic lager at an inflated price. The oil cans are a decent deal but around here for $8 a six pack I can do MUCH better. Decent lager overall.

10 Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus Bier Austria Doppelbock 4.0

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

-- 2002 vintage -- Aroma is purely alcohol. Appearance is a redish brown with little head. Flavor is sweet with a slight dark fruit presence. Wonderful warming effect. This hides the 14% quite well. I had the Hurlimann version (discontinued in 1996) a few months back and it had aged wonderfully. Once it ages the alcohol becomes less apparent and the complexity of flavor increases. Still even this young bottle is very nice.

A dark golden color with little head. The aroma is alcohol and caramel. The flavor is sweet and filled with candy sugar, honey, and caramel. Some berries are present as well. The alcohol rules a little too much but this is a warming beer anyway.

A big caramel and honey presence. A bit of alcohol shows up in the finish. My least favorite quad to date but that isnt a bad thing to say at all.

There wasn’t much exciting about this one. An orange appearance with a moderate head. A good deal of alcohol in the aroma with some citrus gettin up in yer nose. The flavor has a bit of funkiness but the palate is very thin on this one. I was shocked to see this was 8% ABV. Standard issue stuff

What a damn good beer! A murky brown appearance. The aroma is fan-freakin-tastic with some cherries, oak, apples, and some herbal hints. The flavor is fairly sour with cherries, woody hints, nuts, brandy, and a hint of alcohol. Why did they stop making this again. An excellent beer!

This was a nice beer sampled at the Brickstore. A dark orange apperance with a minimal head. The flavor is very sweet with alot of oranges and vanilla. A sugary mouthfeel with some alcohol showing. If you could imagine a creamcicle in beer form you have this beer. It was a nice experience.
