Slightly sweet flavour of citrus and tropical fruits, well balanced with notes of sprucetips and pine needles in the finish. Decent mouthfeel, good beer.

Flavour of citrus and tropical fruits, with a moderate piney bitterness in the finish.

500 ml green bottle, shared with my son, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Malty ang grassy aroma. The flavour has some malty sweetness and tolerable herbal hops. Decent body for the style.

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Moderate spicy and sllghtly yeasty aroma. Plenty of carbonation in the mouth (a little less would still be enough). Spicy and crisp flavour, fairly dry for a Belgian ale this strong, decent hops.

April 2013: 330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 11%. Very dark brown to ruby colour, large beige head. Nicy spicy and intensely malty aroma, also notes of brown sugar, dark dried fruits and oak. Rich and warming mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with distinct notes of spices, oak, malts and molasses, also dark dried fruits again. Pretty impressive stuff.

330 ml bottle, batch #2053, from Coop Extra, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Hazy "dirty yellow" colour, huge white head, takes a long time to settle. Distinct aroma of piney hops, also hints of grapefruit and lime. Citric mouthfeel, light bodied. Flavour of piney hops, also notes of grapefruit, bitter and fairly sharp finish.

330 ml bottle, from Coop Extra Jørpeland. ABV is 4.6%. Nearly clear pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Distinct sweetish aroma of ginger, grain and malts, a hint of lime. Light bodied. The flavour is not too sweet, there is a distinct ginger and chili burn, again only a hint of lime. Not really great, but at least it feels nice to have a "ginger beer" that actually is a beer, and not a n/a mixer.

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 6.5%. Hops are Zappa, Enigma and Mosaic. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of various tropical fruits, papaya, melon and banana. Fairly sweet flavour - I'd suspect some lactose here, but it is not on the ingredients list. Notes of said fruits again, with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Nice to drink.

Fairly rich mouthfeel. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also a hint of oatmeal and a less pleasant hint of vomit, decent bitterness in the finish.

Distinct aroma of caramel and brown bread with dark syrup, also notes of mild Christmas spices and nuts. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, but is not too sweet. Low bitterness. A nice dunkel - not a bock with this ABV.
