Flavour of roast malts and coffee, prunes and liquorice, some bittering hops. Weird and unbalanced, the aroma ruins much of the pleasure.

Nov. 2019: 500 ml bottle, from Helgø Meny Tasta Senter. ABV is 4.7%, 11 IBU. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits and citrus. Tropical fruits and citrus in the flavour too, but the bitterness is too low.

Nov. 2013: 500 ml test bottle from the brewery. Batch #8. ABV is 5.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of sweetish malts and fruity American hops, a hint of marmalade,a whiff of diacetyl. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately fruity and medium bitter, with some "dusty" notes in the background. Okay, but not quite there with the top ales of the style.

Nov. 2013: Shared 2 liter bottle / jug, at Mandag i Annen at Cardnal (so far not in ordinary sale there). ABV is 4.7%. Aroma and flavour more like a standard English bitter or golden ale, rather than an APA. Nothing wrong with it, but fairly bland and uninteresting.

June 2017: 500 ml bottle, from a grocery store. ABV is 4.7%, 36 IBU. The bottle was not gushing, but when pouring the glass fills completely with white foam, and a pale yellow beer (slightly hazy) appears only very slowly underneath. Ridiculously overcarbonated! Aroma of moderately spicy yeast, some piney notes too. The dry flavour is piney with a faint hint of smoke. Won’t buy again.

Nov. 2016: 500 ml bottles, from Coop Extra Farsund and Kiwi Tau. ABV is 4.7%, bitterness 89 IBU. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops, notes of tropical fruits, hints of sprucetips. Fizzy mouthfeel. Yeasty flavour (obviously too much yeast in the bottle), very bitter (too bitter) hops.

Fizzy mouthfeel, Medium sweet flavour, distinct spicy notes, both from spicy yeast and spicy hops. Also notes of white kandij sugar. Bitter aftertaste.

Fairly sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also dark dried fruits, moderate bittering hops, warming mouthfeel.

Aroma of dark malts, brown sugar, Belgian ale yeast and mild spices. The flavour is sweet but not too much, with the same elements as the aroma, also noticeable bittering hops.

Aroma of roast malts, mild coffee, dark chocolate, oak and "spicy" white wine. Excellent vinous and oaky flavour, chocolate and honey notes, raisins, a hint of juniper, sharpish bittering hops in the finish. Warming mouth- and throatfeel.

July 2016: 330 ml bottle from some grocery store. ABV is 4.4%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of malts, only a hint of oak and vanilla. The flavour is thirstquenching and not too sweet with a slight apricot fruitiness, again only a hint of oak and vanilla. Very moderate hops.

June 2015: 330 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Oak aged (bourbon barrel is not mentioned), malts are pale and Munich, hops are Super Styrians, EKG and Styrian Goldings.Medium deep golden colour, moderate white head. The aroma has notes of fruity and spicy hops, toffee and vanilla. Medium sweet flavour, moderate notes of oak, vanilla, toffee and fudge, the hops are far too moderate.

Jan. 2015: 330 ml clear bottle in cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet. BB July 2014. ABV is 8.3%. Cloudy reddish amber colour, pours fizzy with a small short-lived head, slightly off-white. Sweetish aroma with notes of caramel, raisins and dark dried fruits, notes of "oak" (cherrywood, of course). Sweet flavour, too sweet maybe, loads of caramel, maple syrup and dark dried fruits, also cherrywood, minimal hops. Okay, but probably not something I would buy again.

Sep. 2017: 500 ml bottle in cardboard case, as Innis & Gunn Latitude & Longitude Series 001 Raspberry Barrel Aged Saison, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. High level of carbonation. Nice aroma of spicy saison yeast and raspberries, hints of oak. The flavour is a bit too sweet for my taste, distinct caramel, again with notes of spicy saison yeast, oak and raspberries, herbal bittering hops in the finish.
