July 2013: 500 ml can, a treat from a neighbour. Golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma with some grassy and herbal hops. The flavour is a bit too sweet for a pilsener, but there are still enough hops around to make the beer drinkable.

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Etne. ABV is 5.7%. Clear and deep golden to amber colour, large white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, hints of caramel and grass. The medium sweet flavour has the same elements, some metallic bitterness in the aftertaste. Not a favourite of mine.

250 ml screwcap bottle, vintage 2022, from Vinmonopolet Odda, at an outrageous price. ABV is 12.5%, apple varieties are Asfari and Aroma. Clear and deep golden colour, still, as most ice ciders are. Pleasant aroma of apples, some of them oxidised, hints of oak. Very sweet flavour of concentrated apple juice / cider, hints of oak and sulphites.

Feb. 2017: Shared 650 ml bottle at local tasting. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of piney and fruity hops, pineapple and coconut. The flavour is very fruity with pineapple and coconut, but also with a distinct hop bitterness.

750 ml bottle, as Nøgne Ø Swing the Cat Sour Cherry Reserve, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 10. Dark red to purple colour, large but shortlived pink head. Aroma and flavour of sour cherries, brettanomyces, red wine and oak. Fairly nice.

August 2021: 330 ml can, at Brakanes Hotel, Ulvik. I think I also have a can of this one at home. Brewed for Hardanger Bryggeri at Arendals Bryggeri. ABV is 4.7%. Clear and pale golden colour, moderate white head. Standard pilsener aroma, moderate sweetish grassy and floral notes. Clean taste, some sweetness but not too much, more malty than hoppy.

440 ml can, from SPAR Norheimsund. ABV is 4.7%. Cola / mahogany colour, huge off-white to beige head. Aroma of roast malts, burnt breadcrumbs and mild coffee. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has some sweetness, but not too much - otherwise the same elements as the aroma. Roasty and hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Drinkable, but not very exciting.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.5%. Pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a huge but shortlived head. Aroma of cider apples, horse stable, oak and sulphites. Very dry and crisp flavour of slightly oxidised apples, hints of oak and sulphites.

375 ml clear bottle with gold foil and plastic "champagne" cork, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Golden colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of apples, a hint of sulphites. Decent flavour of apples, slightly oxidised, medium dry, again a hint of sulphites.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of pine, spruce, grapefruit / citrus and tropical fruits, apricot. The flavour has the same elements, decent bitterness. Good beer!

Nov. 2020: 750 ml clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet Odda. ABV is 7.5%. Clear and very pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a small white head. Fresh aroma of apples, spicy notes, hints of honey. Flavour mid between dry and sweet. Notes of apples, spicy hints. Pleasant to drink.

Slightly hazy golden colour, pours vigorously sparkling with a large but shortlived white head. Aroma of apples, apple peel and apple cores, hints of yeast. Medium dry and crisp flavour with the same elements.

March 2020: Cask pint at the Argyll Arms, Soho. Deep copper colour, white to off-white head. Moderate aroma. Malty flavour, with some tingling fruity hops on the tongue. Nice beer.

May 2012: 500 ml bottle conditioned, new at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Beautiful copper colour, moderate off-white head, nice lacing. Lovely aroma of fruity hops (Styrian Goldings and Cascade), also hints of spruce, caramel and ripe berries. The medium sweet flavour has a nice balance between the malts and hops, notes of caramel, toffee, sweet biscuits and ripe berries. A little more bittering hops in the finish would not hurt, but this is a very enjoyable ale as it is.

500 ml bottle conditioned, as St. Austell Hicks Traditional Strong Cornish Ale, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 5.0%. Clear reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of malts, toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, blackcurrants and prunes. Flavour with the same elements, and fairly distinct earthy hops, medium bitter finish.

300 ml bottle, as Budels Goudblond, Kölsch type, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of malts and dust, only a hint of floral hops. Citric mouthfeel. Flavour of malts and herbal hops, a hint of citrus, dry finish.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 16.5%, IBU 30. Black colour, minimal and shortlived brown head. Aroma of oak, molasses, fusel, roast malts and red wine. Sweet flavour, distinct notes of roast malts, oak and red wine. Warming mouthfeel.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 7%. Opaque pinkish-greyish colour, moderate pale pink head. Aroma of raspberry purée, lactic acid, lactose and vanilla. Thick mouthfeel, berry pulp. Flavour of raspberries, vanilla and lactose, moderate lactic acid.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 6.5%. Opaque greyish-brownish colour (yes, like fudge), moderate off-white head. Aroma of fudge, butter, apples, lactose, only a hint of lactic acid. Sweet and sour flavour, distinct lactic acid, also distinct apple juice, fudge and butter, lactose sweetness, minimal hops. Weird beer, but not undrinkable.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 6%. Murky orange colour, some yeast floaties. Moderate white head. Aroma of orange zest, tangerine and lemons. Citric and medium sour flavour, notes of said fruits and lactic acid, moderate lactose.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 6.7%. Moderately hazy brownish-orange-golden colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of orange marmalade, grapefruit and pine / resin. Flavour with the same elements, ending in a massive bitterness.

330 ml bottle, as De Molen Fruit & Kruid Blond, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken (or possibly Sandnes Kvadrat). ABV is 6.2%. Brownish golden colour, slightly hazy, with a small white head. Aroma of lychee and other tropical fruits, some malts. Nice citric flavour, notes of lemongrass and Belgian ale yeast, hints of dill and lychee. Not very bitter.
