500 ml can, bought at ICA Maxi. ABV is 4.5%. The brewery of this contract brew is not mentioned on the can, but apparently it is the Hansa Borg group. Golden colour, big to moderate fluffy head. Typical "industrial" sweetish pale lager aroma, quite strong and unpleasant. Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft mouthfeel. The flavour is moderately sweet and rather boring, but not offensive. Low bitterness.

On tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri. Reddish amber colour. Lovely aroma of caramel and butterscotch. Flavour of malts, tobacco, caramel and butterscotch. OKish.

The flavour is fairly sweet with some fruitiness, hardly any bitterness at all. Not much to write home about here.

The flavour is very malty and sweet (the maltose syrup shows its presence), but there is also some fruitiness. Plenty of caramel, hints of rye bread. Low bitterness. A bit too much sweetness for me, but definitely drinkable.

330 ml bottle. Copper coloured beer with a big off-white head. Typical n/a beer aroma with the usual sickly "boiled" notes (baby porridge, over-boiled vegetables), also some more pleasant hints of bakery and caramel. The flavour is bland and boring, again those sickly "boiled" notes, too much sweetness. A slight bitterness in the finish. Not for me this one.

500 ml bottle, as HaandBryggeriet Dobbel Dose IPA, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned, unfiltered and unpasteurised. Batch #108, brewed Nov. 07, BB Nov. 09. ABV is 8.5%. Very cloudy orange-brown colour, big off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, notes of flowers and orange marmalade, a hint of oak too. The flavour is sweet (too sweet) and somewhat alcoholic, with a substantial dominance of hops (as expected from a Double IPA), but not quite as extreme as I feared. Bitter finish. When pouring the last sediment in the glass the beer becomes extremely muddy, but the flavour also becomes more complex and interesting.

500 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. Bottle No. 0689 (out of a total of 7733). Brew No. 1 in Berentsens new Innova-Brygg range. ABV is 4.7%. Brewed with hand-picked heather and local honey. Unfiltered, matured 6 months in tanks at the brewery. Golden colour, large to moderate head. Nice honey aroma. The flavour is dominated by heather and honey as expected, hardly any bitterness, but the beer is not too sweet. The mouthfeel is maybe a bit thin, but this is a fairly easy drinking beer for spring and summer. The finish is rather bland though.

250 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.1%. Cloudy brownish red colour, large pinkish head. Intense sweet aroma and flavour of strawberry jam and artificial "strawberry" candy bars, kind of sickly and sugary. Not undrinkable though. If blindfolded, I would probably not have guessed that this was a beer at all. Not my cup of tea (uh, beer) this one, but people who love candy and strawberry soda might like it.

500 ml can. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, fluffy white head. Very vague and weak sweetish aroma, hints of maize, also a hint of caramel as the beer warms up. The flavour is way too sugary and sweet, but at least there is some maltiness too, so unlike "smrprty" it is not void of flavour. Fizzy mouthfeel, minimal bitterness.

500 ml can. ABV is 4.7%. Contains 60% less carbohydrates and 30% less calories than an ordinary pilsener. Extremely pale yellow colour, decent lasting head. Fruity aroma, notes of citrus, maize and candy. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is artificially sweet with grainy notes. Empty finish. Poor.

Moderate fruity aroma with raisiny notes. The flavour is moderately fruity and malty, hints of caramel and toffee, with spicy hops. Definitely drinkable, but does not call out the tiger in me.

Golden colour, decent white head. Very nice and strong aroma of honey, flowers and butterscotch. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, but there is also a substantial malty sweetness. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Has the character of a well-made pilsener, but is apparently top fermented?

A good try from Dalane.

Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy, big white head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus and floral notes, a hint of toffee. The flavour is distinctly hoppy and grapefruity throughout, but never too bitter. The hoppy fruitiness also has a sufficient malty base, and my bottle had a hint of brettanomyces. Long aftertaste of hoppy bitterness. Good stuff!

Bottle conditioned, ABV is 4.0%. Deep golden to brown colour with a slight haziness, moderate white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma with floral notes, also some moderate malty / grainy notes. The flavour is moderately fruity og malty with a touch of caramel, some hoppy bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

The aroma is moderately malty and "dusty", a hint of toffee, nothing special. The flavour is nicely balanced between the malts and hops, a hint of toffee again, maybe also a hint of blackcurrants. Fairly light bodied, easy drinking and refreshing. Moderately bitter aftertaste.

Nice aroma, some roastiness, coffee and chocolate, hints of tobacco and dark fruits. The flavour is moderately roasty, coffee and chocolate again, with a slight fruitiness. Smooth and pleasant to drink.

Sediment in the bottle, some floaties in the glass, but the cider is otherwise fairly clear. Deep golden colour. Some fizziness when poured, but no lasting head. Very nice aroma of cider apples, fermenting fruits and oak. The mouthfeel is rather fizzy and surprisingly "thin" for a 6% cider made from 100% apple juice. Flavour of cider apples (no surprise!), quite dry. Not bad though.

500 ml bottle, thanks to Beer_2000. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 4.7%. Amber to brown colour, large head with an orangey hue. Nice aroma of Christmas spices, toffee and some malts. The flavour also has Christmas spices and a moderate sweetness, but the mouthfeel is still very thin - too thin for a Christmas/Yule brew. Very moderate hops in the slightly metallic aftertaste, but this beer definitely needs more hops. Actually it needs more malts and more alcohol too!
