Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6 355 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 7,0%. Golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of piney and citrussy American hops, some spicy hints. Medium sweet and dull flavour, not as crisp as I expected it. Bordering on "bland", the hops are not nearly as dominant as expected. |

3431 | Ballast Point Big Eye IPA | United States | IPA | 2.9
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6 355 ml bottle, from Fakta Hirtshals. BB date is hard to read, but probably 25.03.2014. Slightly hazy deep golden to amber colour, moderate to low head, slightly off-white. Strong and unpleasant aroma of stale orange marmalade and rotting fruits and vegetables. Distinctly hoppy and resinous flavour, better than the aroma, not too sweet, with a solid bitterness in the finish. |

3443 | Kilikia | Armenia | Pale Lager | 2.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4 500 ml green bottle, many thanks to the ever attentive yngwie, who this way gave me a new "beer country" on my list. ABV is 4.8%. Appears to be imported to Sweden via France. Golden colour, large and lasting white head. "Skunky" Heineken-like aroma (which I do not necessarily find horrible) , also some less pleasant vegetable notes. The flavour is first slightly citrussy and refrehing, then overtaken by unpleasant notes of cardboard, over-boiled vegetables, dust and metallic hop extract. Disgusting aftertaste. Sure, you could probably survive on Kilikia in the Armenian summer heat, but there is hardly any reason to export this stuff. |

Nice sweetish aroma of malts and floral hops. Floral and herbal hops in the flavour, on a background of medium sweet malts. Low bitterness. |

3449 | Harveys India Pale Ale | United Kingdom | IPA | 3.6
Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7 Cask halfpint at The White Hart (a Harvey’s pub), Crawley. ABV 3.5%. Deep golden color, no head. Minimal aroma. Fairly dry flavour, some tingling fruity and herbal English hops make the beer quite drinkable, but this is not an IPA (neither historical nor modern) by any stretch of the mind. 2nd rating: 500 ml bottle, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 3.5%. Clear copper colour, moderate white head. Moderate but nice aroma of malts, toffee and a faint hint of dark berries. Light bodied as expected, but not too bad for its low ABV. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, and has the same elements as the aroma, also some nutty hints, with moderate but noticeable earthy hops in the finish. A decent ordinary bitter, but certainly no IPA. |
