750 ml clear screwcap bottle, vintage 2020, bought at the cidery. Made from the apple variety Summerred. Very pale straw colour, pours slightly sparkling, nearly still in the glass. Very nice aroma of Summerred apples, which also is a good variety for eating or juice / must. Also a hint of sulphites. Dry flavour, probably good with food, some tannins, but I'd prefer it sparkling.

Typical and very nice aroma of Gravenstein apples. Dry flavour of said apples, hints of sulphites. Okay, but I'd like some carbonation.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 13%. Black colour, small tan head. Moderate aroma of roast malts, hints of chocolate. Moderate carbonation, easy drinking. The flavour is not too sweet, and is very well balanced throughout, with decent hops. Also notes of chocolate, prunes and mild coffee. A hint of liquorice. Remarkably good.

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 13%. Pitch black colour, small brown head dissipates instantly. Aroma of caramel, malts, roasted nuts, a hint of cocoa. Oily and cloying mouthfeel, minimal carbonation. Very sweet and unbalanced flavour, loads of caramel, also toasted coconuts, roasted pistachios and cocoa. Very moderate hops.

750 ml clear bottle, shared with my son, from the cidery. Information handwritten on the bottle. ABV is 5%. Colour nearly like water, only a weak greyish-greenish-yellowish hue. Pours moderately sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Moderate aroma of pears, a hint of rubber. Dry flavour of pears, better than I feared. Drank it ice cold though.

Rerate, 330 ml bottle, harvest 2018, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a large but shortlived head. Strong and distinct aroma of dessert apples. Light bodied. The flavour is medium dry, notes of apples and sulphites. No match for the Edel 12%, but okay. Original rating: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Clear golden colour, small white head that soon disappears. Moderate carbonation. "Perfumed" aroma of sweet eating apples, a hint of oak. The flavour is better, nice and fresh flavour of apples, medium sweet.

330 ml bottle, from Coop Extra Øvre Årdal. ABV is 4.7%. Crystal clear and very pale golden colour, pours sparkling with a large to small white head. "Perfumed" aroma of several varieties of eating apples. Fresh flavour of eating apples, pleasant to drink.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2019-02, as Åkre Edel Rosésider med bringebær. Produced 07.07.20. I think I also saw bottles in another store where "med bringebær" was not part of the name, but I assume they just changed the label - there seems to be raspberries in all of them. ABV is 4.7%. From Coop Extra, Odda. Clear signal red colour, pours sparkling with an off-white pink-ish head. Distinct and pleasant aroma of raspberries and raspberry juice. The flavour is mid between sweet and dry, notes of apples and raspberries. Short finish.

750 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 12%. 2018 harvest. Clear deep golden to amber colour, pours sparkling with a shortlived white head. Lovely strong aroma of apples, apple peel and oak, a hint of sulphites. The flavour is medium sweet with some acidity, notes of apples, apple peel, oak and sulphites again. Hints of warming alcohol.

375 ml slim clear bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at an outrageous price. Batch 2016-02. ABV is 10.5%. Deep golden to orange colour, no carbonation. Lovely aroma of concentrated apple juice / apple cider. Extremely sweet and nice concentrated flavour of Norwegian dessert apple varieties, some acidity, hints of oak and sulphites.

Aroma of slightly "spicy" apple varieties. Dry flavour, crisp and slightly "spicy" apples. I had it with pasta (not seafood), but it must be great with the seafood for which it is intended.

Pleasant, interesting and complex aroma: notes of brettanomyces / farmhouse, dry white wine, mild spices, vanilla, hints of yellow plums and tropical fruits. Crisp and dry flavour, oak, vanilla, oaked and dry white wine, a slight acidity, mild spices, moderate but noticeable bittering hops.

Aroma of pale and biscuit malts, canned yellow plums and apricots, and spicy bière de garde yeast. Spicy and peppery flavour, medium dry, distinct herbal hops, hints of stewed plums.

500 ml bottle, ABV 4.0%, from Joker Vatlandsvåg. Also sampled on numerous occasions previously. I still think this "beer" should be unrateable, but apparently it is. Best served over ice, this alcoholic soda has a nice ginger flavour and "burn" throughout. Golden colour, pours sparkling with a large white head. Sugar, fruit soda esters and ginger - a lot of it. A nice drink when I want something else than a beer.

Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Moderately sweet flavour, brown malts, brown bread, caramel, hints of prunes, moderate but noticeable hops. Nice to drink.

Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet flavour of lactose and citric hops, low bitterness. Simple, but still nice to drink.

Distinct sweetish aroma of fruity and spicy hops, notes of mandarin / tangerine, pineapple and lychee. Soft and citric mouthfeel, moderate carbonation Citric flavour (various citrus fruits), not too sweet, hints of pineapple and spicy hops, some pine needles in the finish, moderate to low bitterness.

Refreshing flavour, citrus and tropical fruits again, but not too sweet. Hints of sprucetips. Low bitterness. Fairly light bodied.
