The beer poured a tranclucent dark reddish brown with a thin tan-coloured head. The aroma was sweet malt, molasses and candy sugar. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was caramel malt, slightly grassy, molasses, with a bitter finish.

A nice warming beer.

The aroma was earthy and yeasty with some citrusy hints in the mix. The mouthfeel was very light, and highly carbonated. The flavour was very malty and yeasty. No hint of alcohol in the taste, but I felt it in the head. Being 11.5%, I was expecting a far sweeter taste but was pleasantly surprised. I have to admit, at $51.95 before taxes, I would have hoped for elixer of the Gods.

The beer poured an opaque reddish-brown with a long lasting thick, foamy tan coloured head. The aroma was sweet malt, spices, and a small amount of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with a high level of carbonation. The flavour was spicy, with some sweet malt, dark fruits, and a bitter finish.

The aroma was malt and a strong piney, citrusy scent. The mouthfeel was medoim bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour had a malt backbone with a very hoppy finish. An excellent beer.

The beer poured an transparent muddy brown colour with a short-lived thin head. The aroma was very weak, but there were hints of sweet malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, and mildly carbonated. The flavour was bitter, and sweet. Hints of both spruce and pine come through with the malt. The ingredients do not list hops on the bottle - interesting.

The aroma was sour apples, pears, and raspberries. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with high carbonation. The flavour was fruity and sweet with a strong berry presence. I really enjoyed the taste of this. I almost felt guilty not having another 3-4 of them.

The flavour is bitter with some grain and citrus notes thrown in.

Only slightly better than the Confederation Ale.

The aroma was a combination of grainy and sweet malt, with some floral hop tones weakly present. As stated by a couple of others, the mouthfeel was slightly watery, and not well carbonated. The flavour was rather bland with some grainy malt being the predominant flavour.

The aroma was floral in nature with some sweet malt. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, creamily thick, with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, maple sugar, with a strong hop flavour. Unlike the 60min and 90min IPAs, this beer is way too sweet, having something of a barleywine feel to it.

Definitely a peppery taste and feel.
