2401 | Pabst Blue Ribbon | United States | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 September 1, 1993
Location Unknown (Memphis, Tennessee, USA)
355ml bottle
5.0% ABV
$0.00
It's unfortunate that 2 is the lowest choice available, otherwise I would have given straight 1's to Milwaukee's Best, and four 1's and a 2 to this swill. This brew was the laughingstock at my graduate school department. I avoided it as long as I could but alas, I did eventually try it. It was rank right out of the bottle, and thankfully it had a more yellowish tinge than Milwaukee's Best..........and that's a very minor thankfully.

Re-Review
Brewed in Canada by Stroh Canada / Sleeman Brewing and Malting Company
473ml can
4.9% ABV (as written on can)
Canned On: September 8, 2021
LCBO Outlet #649 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Sobey’s Plaza)
April 7, 2022
$2.15
A more experienced beer reviewer’s review! The beer pours a translucent straw gold colour with a huge fluffy white head that lingers as rocky islands for several minutes. The aroma is stale grains, herbal hops, and vomit. This beer does not smell good. The mouthfeel is thin and carbonation is average. The taste is just as bad as the aroma. Thirty minutes after finishing this…..it is still ravaging my tongue! My score has been adjusted slightly! (1.0 -> 1.3)
|

2402 | Schlitz Genuine Gold | United States | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 355ml can
5.0% ABV
Brewed by Stroh Canada, Guelph Ontario
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
May 12, 2008
The beer poured a beautiful translucent gold colour with a huge frothy white head that dissipated within seconds. The aroma was of faint grainy malts and not much else. The mouthfeel was thin and watery and forgettable. The flavour had a hint of beer in it.....just a hint. Even at $1.30 a can I expect more than this. |

2403 | Bud Light Lime | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 America: Missouri
Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company
October 21, 2009
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
355ml can
4.20% ABV
$1.60
I tried this beer after purchasing a single can from the 'singles' bin at one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a translucent gold colour with a generous white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is phenolic in nature and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel is weak bodied, flat, and lightly carbonated (odd considering the huge head). The flavour is flat, citrusy, and weakly malty. This is a pretty bad beer even by swill standards which makes it even more surprising that the masses love it so much. |

2404 | Hite Beer | South Korea | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 330ml bottle
4.5% ABV
I tried this beer on January 29, 2010 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a very pale gold colour, quite possibly the palest beer I've seen out of a bottle. with a very thin white head. The aroma was very weak with grainy malt, and metallic hints. The mouthfeel was medium-thin with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, with a bitter metallic finish |

2405 | Boxer Lager | United States | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 473ml can
5.0% ABV
Main/Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
July 29, 2010
$1.75
This is a strange beer. Heavily advertised on Canadian TV with the tag line "We sell it in Ontario for the minimum legal price....but we would sell it for less if we could". Well, it's certainly worth a lot less than the minimum legal price in Ontario. The beer poured a clear gold with a HUGE white bubbly head that did not last, although there was excess effervescence in the glass.. The aroma was metallic, acidic, and sweet. The mouthfeel was watery and medium carbonated. The flavour was sweet acid and wet steel. Yum Yum! |

2406 | Corona Light | Mexico | Light / Lite Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 330ml bottle
3.7% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
August 10, 2010
From the $0.50 Singles Bin. The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a bubble white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was grass, with some weak floral hops, and skunk. The mouthfeel was extremely thin bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was god awful. Very acidic, and sour grainy malt. Not a fan of Corona or Corona Light but if you need to choose between the two...the Corona is FAR better, although that's not saying much. |

2407 | Old Milwaukee | United States | Pale Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 710ml can
5.0% ABV
Gift
January 3, 2011
Brewed under license in Canada
The beer poured a translucent light gold colour with a huge generous bubbly white head that disappeared in a flash. The aroma was typical for a cheap mass produced pale lager with hints of vomit, rusted metal, and grains. The mouthfeel was medium to thin bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was again typical of mass produced pale lagers in that there was very little that wasn't revolting (acidic, grainly, slightly sweet). |

2408 | Moosehead Cracked Canoe | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.3
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3 473ml can
3.5% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1
October 11, 2012
The beer pours a very very pale translucent gold, with a very thin white ring for a head. The aroma is weak grains, wet metal, and weak hops. The mouthfeel is watery, and medium high carbonation. The flavour is not much more than swill flavoured water. This is to be avoided at all costs, even if you're the designated driver. |

2409 | Crest Super | United Kingdom | Strong Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 May 5, 2012
LCBO Outlet #568 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Atrium On Bay)
500ml can
10.0% ABV
$3.30
The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a generous, but short-lived off-white head. The aroma was grainy malt, phenol, and cold wet metal. The mouthfeel was light bodied with medium carbonation. Primary flavour was alcohol, and quite sweet. Better than Faxe 10%, but as far as 'good' beer is concerned, this is NOT on the list. |

The aroma is sour grassy malt, and alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and mildy carbonated. The taste was heavy on the alcohol, and light on any real malt or hop flavours. |

2411 | Laker Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 October 1, 2009
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
$1.90
There's not a lot to say about it. It's a translucent gold colour with a thin roicky head. The aroma is grainy malt and sour hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium high carbonation. The flavour is weak grainy malt with a fair amount of sweetness. Any bitterness is lost. Not a good beer. |

2412 | Molson Ultra (2019 - ) | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.2
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 473ml can
3.0% ABV
Real Canadian Superstore - Main/Thompson (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
October 24, 2020
$2.77
The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a bubbly snow white head which quickly dissipates to a film. Effervescence is high. The aroma is grains, dish soap, and yeast. The mouthfeel is watery with average carbonation. The flavour is akin to beer flavoured water. Take a Molson Canadian, dilute with an equal part water, and voila….Molson Ultra. |

2413 | Molson Canadian 67 | Canada | Light / Lite Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 341ml bottle
3.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
July 29, 2013
The beer pours a veryt pale straw yellow with almost no head and plenty of effervescence, think water with a hint of yellow food colouring. The aroma was grains and phenolic notes. The mouthfeel was watery with high carbonation - again, it was very much like carbonated water. There was not much flavour to be tasted, quite grassy for what was detectable. |

2414 | Bud Light | United States | Light / Lite Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 3 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 Brewed in Canada by the Labatt Brewing Company
April 14, 2008
LCBO Outlet #255 (Milton, Ontario, Canada – Main / Bronte)
473ml can
4.0% ABV
$2.00
The beer pours a very translucent pale yellow (almost clear with yellow food colouring added to give it a tinge of colour). The aroma is weakly malty, with nothing else. The mouthfeel was very thin, watery with little carbonation. The flavour was watery as well, again water with a little bit of artificial beer taste added. I have to admit, while there was nothing spectacular about this beer, it went down very fast. |

2415 | MacLay's Traditional Pale Ale | Canada | English Pale Ale | 1.1
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 473ml can
5.0% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
September 30, 2008
Brewed under license in Canada by Sleeman's Maritime Beer Company facility
The beer poured a translucent pale yellow colour with a very generous white bubbly head that quickly disappeared. The aroma was weakly grainy malt with no other noticable odours. The mouthfeel was weak-bodied, watery, with a lot of carbonation. The flavour was pretty skunky, with an acidic bitterness and not much else. The beer went down faster than a glass of orange Kool-Aid. |

2416 | Brahma Chopp | Brazil | Pale Lager | 1.1
Aroma: 3 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
This is some god awful beer. Supposedly an upscale Brahma, it falls short of being upscale by any definition of the word. Very pale gold with a light ring formation. Corn syrup and metal make up the aroma. Flavour is phenolic and acidic. Needed to be shotgunned to get down. |

2417 | Milwaukee's Best | United States | Pale Lager | 1.0
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 February 1, 1994
P & H Café (Memphis, Tennessee, USA)
Shared Pitcher of Draught
4.60% ABV
$2.00
There is not a lot to say about this beer that is good, not for me anyway. The beer is a very very light gold colour that is reminiscent of American lagers. There is no discernable smell to speak of nor is there any discernable taste. The mouthfeel is very watery with few hints of any carbonation. Overall this is not a beer that I would try again, nor is it a beer that I would recommend to others. This beer led to my worst beer experience ever. I was given this at a bar in Memphis Tennessee. It was clear enough that I could read the newspaper through the full glass. No aroma to speak of, and very little flavour. I asked the waitress what it was. She replied, It's 'Milwaukee's Best'. I replied that if that was Milwaukee's best, I would hate to taste their worst. I was promptly asked to leave the bar. |

2418 | Labatt Lucky Lager | Canada | Pale Lager | 1.0
Aroma: 2 | Appearance: 2 | Mouthfeel: 2 | Flavor: 2 | Overall: 2 473ml can
4.8% ABV
Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada)
July 26, 1998
This is probably one of the palest beers I have ever seen. It is a very translucent yello with almost no head. The aroma is vomit. The mouthfeel is watery, thin bodied, and highly carbonated (40 minutes after pouring, there is still effervescence in the glass). The taste is very grainy and not much else. Only Milwaukee's Best has been worse. |
