Very present nose of citra, tangerine. Very pale yellow hazed body (Its a NEIPA) with short-lived head. Medium lite mouth and a bit fizzy. At 5% the flavor is pretty decent. A very sessionable lemony shandy-like flavor that goes down easy with not much aftertaste.

Proper nose with lots of biscuit and a hint of cotton candy. Darkish copper body with minimal head and no lace. Medium bodied low on the carbonation, good for style. Perhaps a bit sweet for a Marzen, but lots of nice grain in the mouth a slightly sweet finish, a bit hoppy but well balanced.

This is Orono's award winning go-to IPA. (NEIPA) Long-lasting nose full of tangerine and pine. Very hazy medium gold body topped with a white head and excellent lace. Lots of tingle in the mouth which is medium bodied. Not as nasty-tropical as many NEIPA's the balance on this is lovely. The bitterness is quite present hitting the top of the palate, lots of citrus in the middle with slight warming alcohol and a signifiant aftertaste that is sweet yet not cloying.

Long lasting tropical NEIPA nose, sweet and dank. Milkshake appearance with decent lasting head and minimal lace, body a murky gold. Mouth is nice, a bit creamy, very nice tingle and a touch slick. Taste is tangy, pine playing against new-fangled tropical hops, a bit of a sour finish, alcohol well masked. I've heard rumor there's wheat in this brew and it seems possible. Back East is a great local(for me) brewery consistantly knocking out delightful brews.

Long-lasting nose of tangerine, pineapple, bubblegum, and a bit of barnyard funk. A hazy medium gold pour with minimal head and lace. Mouth is a touch flat. What in the taste and a nasty medicinal finish, will be pouring this one out.

(to be fair this bottle was born a year ago)OK, first off I had to pick a style (on that other beer site it would be called an American Brett, here Belgian seems the closest fit.) Pineapple and grass in the nose. Pours a thin head over a very pale straw body with no lace. Mouth is thin but not watery, perhaps a bit under-carbonated. I have become fond of this flavor profile. Pineapple and grass, maybe a bit of tobacco, just slightly sour with a fairly clean finish. Its more than the sum of its parts.

Mose of pine that turns to grass and honey. Hazy yellow body with moderate shirt-lived head and no lace. Mouth is medium bodied and over-fizzy. Starts with hints of grass that soon turns sour and bitter, not in an overly pleasant way. Aftertaste is medicinal.

Floral nose with some dark ripe fruit and a bit of cotton candy. Lovely copper body is clear and topped with a nice white head that lasts and has good lace. Mouth is creamy and rounded but ends a touch watery. Mild flavor, some fruit pits, not complicated, slight medicinal finish, not an East Cost Pale, a tribute I suppose to brewer's west coast roots. Malt backbone a bit weak for my tastes in a Pale, this is more an IPA.

Nose of sweet malts, Pine, and grapefruit... A throwback to a classic IPA and quite nice for a change. Pores a medium copper body under a moderate Whitehead with minimal lace and retention. Nice full mouth carbonation seem spot on the others might want a bit more carbonation. Flavor is old-fashioned IPA bitter which is kind of nice to find these days. Mostly grapefruit and pine resin with sweet mullets balancing it nicely. A very nice drinkable IPA that is old school.

Reviewing the 002 series. Nose of tobaccco, prune, and vanilla. Hazed medium gold body sits under a moderate head with fair retention and little lacing. Very nice on the mouth, good tingle and a bit creamy. Nice balance the fruit is dry, maybe a hint of apricot, clean finish, well rounded.

Not much nose there, a bit of pine. Worked like hell to get a bit of head on this sucker but the skim has good retention, no lace, medium gold body. Mouth is nice, a bit creamy, surprisingly, full bodied for an IPA. Standard old fashioned (not tropical) IPA flavors with a very present malt backbone, hops mostly bittering with some pine, alcohol present and warming.Nicely balanced, get some nose and head on this thing and it would score much higher, tasty.

Vanilla, prune, and citric acid in the nose. Pours a clear very deep ruby with an offwhite head with god retention and no lace. Mouth is creamy with a full body. The unbeerlike flavor is appropriate for the style. Vanilla and chocolate dominates with a nice hop tingle at the end, alcohol is warming, pretty nicely done although not my cuppa.

(Scores relate to a "Session" IPA, grading it on that specific type) Your typical new-fangled tropical/citrus fruit IPA nose. Medium gold body with surprisingly good lace and a lasting skim coat (unusual for a Session brew). Mouth also surprising, nice medium body on this, not quite slick. Its got high apparent bitterness for its slim 43 IBU's. Does not taste quite as much like hop water as most sessions. Well balanced. The malt is neutral but it does have some backbone. Flavors as much on the piney side as the citrus side. Finish is dry with a odd high note that just misses being medicinal. Founder's All Day is my go to Session IPA but I thin this one may have it beat.

Grass, biscuit, lime in the nose, fairly faint nose. Very pale yellow body topped with almost no head and no lace. Thin but not quite watery mouth. Flavor follows nose, burbs quite limey.

Honey, grass, passion fruit in the nose. Medium Gold body clear, though unfiltered, decent head with low retention but decent skim coat, very little lace. The mouth is quite full for a lager, slightly creamy, spot on fizz. Serious hops in this lager, 100 IBU, but a nice solid neutral malt backbone that lends decent sweetness, very well balanced. Notes of lemon zest, tobacco, apricot, with an ever so slight sour finish, ends dry with hints of grain. Beer Advocate ( sorry have to mention this) gave it a 100 and world class rating, and I really can't argue with that. Jack's Abby is taking lager to a whole new place and I am glad they are!

Pilsner nose lots of grass and a whiff of citrus. Light gold body with intense effervesce toped with rocky white head leaves decent lace. Medium bodied and tingly in the mouth, just a bit creamy. Not a fan of the flavor profile. Getting some overpowering medicinal taste in the middle and a bit of it in the aftertaste. There is some sour in there also not pleasurable, pouring this one out.

Grass, barnyard funk, hint of honey in the nose. Quire clear light yellow body for an unfiltered and unpasteurized brew topped with minimal white head and little lace. Mouth is medium to light bodied, nicely fizzy. Flavor is what one expects, grass notes, light biscuit, some sour fruit towards the end, very dry clean finish. Some esters in the aftertaste.

Very mild nose, honey and floral. Thick egg white head atop and orange amber body, decent lace. Mouth is moderate to think with OK carbonation and a touch creamy. Flavor is also mild, not very bitter for an IPA, very drinkable but without much individuality. Hops are almost absent in terms of flavoring, although well balanced with hops vs malts. Very very sessionable. I am actually enjoying an IPA that is NOT overly tropical, not overly piney, again very drinkable.

Wheat, neutral fruity notes, touch of grass in the nose. Beautiful foggy pale gold body with excellent long lasting head and nice lace, suspect this may not be filtered. Lots of yeast in the bottom of the can. Mouth is clean as hell, medium bodied, perfect carbonation. Very fond of this brew. Pretty sure this is a wheat IPA, no info on the website. Its just clean and excellently balanced. The hops start citrus, nice malt sweetness in the middle with a solid malt backbone, not supper hop head brew. Finish has a tiny hint of sour and the fruit is really forward. Aftertaste is super dry and clean. Alcohol slightly present and warming. REALLY GOOD STUFF!!!!!

Malt, biscuit, grass, and yes pear in the nose. Light gold body with short-lived white head, leads a nice skim and decent lace. Light but nice body on this one, good carbonation decent tingle. Malt and great nots at the two quickly taken by bright grassy hop notes and a hint of yeast, slight alcohol warming on the back end. Clean and crisp, maybe a bit heavy on the malt.

Long lasting nose, bread, tropical fruit, tobacco, cotton candy. Very warm amber body is slightly hazed and pours a big long-lasting white head with some lace. Mouth is full for an IPA but nice, slick and bit creamy. Flavor is totally there, tropical fruit, conn ton candy, tobacco, quite bitter, orange rind, alcohol there and warming. I think this beer has been redone since previous reviews, more IBU and more ABV, more flavor.

Great nose on this one, strong and long. Spicy notes with plenty of floral notes in the nose and orange, The Amarillo really shines here (let in the kettle and then again in dry hoping). Beautiful pale yellow.honey toned body with nice fizz pours a clean white head that leaves a nice skim coat and hints of lace. As with most "sessions" the mouth is a bit thin, carbonation well done. Nice flavor on this although it could stand a bit more malty goodness. A little honey up front, some lavender notes, really nice bitter finish that is not medicinal. Ends dry and clean. Maybe best "session" IPA I have had.

Strong nose of tropical fruit, some pine, fruity vanilla. Very clear (for an unfiltered brew) deep gold body topped by a moderate white head with good lace. Mouth is sticky and dry with a slight chew. This one peels the enamel off your teeth, Fruity but alcohol and bitter predominate. Kicks butt.

Seasonal offering from Troegs. Honking big nose on this...pineapple, tangerine, cotton candy and a hint of pine in the nose. Pours a slightly hazy pale orange/amber body with moderate white head and minimal lace. Mouth is medium to light bodied, carbonation well done, slightly slick. Flavor follows the nose, not terribly bitter but the 45 IBU's do make their presence known. A sweeter IPA that would make a good IPA intro to swill drinkers. Tangerine not eh first hit followed by a wee bit of pineapple with a sweet endnote but a pretty try and ever so slightly bitter aftertaste. Giving it an 8 here even though the taste is really not strictly IPA-ish. Well balanced, interesting, very drinkable but the serious IPA drinker will find it somehow a bit hollow. One last thing, they hid the 6.2 ABV real well.

Mouth is chewy and a bit under-carbonated. Flavor is odd. the supposed tropical fruit tastes like rotting grapefruit rind. Not strong but there, ends bitter and hints of aspirin. ME NO LIKE!
