138 | Pump House Blueberry Ale | Canada | Fruit Beer | 3.1
Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6 Bottle. Colour - a clear metallic gold colour with a one inch foamy off-white head and a bit of lacing as you start drinking. Aroma - the first thing you notice is the strong notes of blueberry which are masking the herbal hop and light grains that are also present. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, carbonation is above average. Flavour - the flavour borders on being that of a typical blonde ale with grains up front and a bitter hop finish with just a hint of blueberry sweetness. It is hard to believe with all the blueberry aroma that there is so little in the flavour. |

142 | Kaltenberg Konig Ludwig Weiss | Germany | Hefeweizen | 4.3
Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9 This is a dark golden pour, very murky, with a very generous head. Widely available in Ontario in both package and draught form. The aroma is dominated by wheat, banana, clove, and bubble gum. All the things that make Hefes enjoyable. This is sweeter than a Erdinger or a Weihenstephaner, but not as sweet as a Paulaner or a Hacker-Pschorr. |
