Easier to find than the Black Bull, and not as good. Take the black if you have a choice. Colour - medium gold. Aroma - malty. Mouthfeel - medium. Flavour - slightly sweet. Overall - just OK

I've only tried this once. Not a great beer. Colour - dark rust/copper, off-white wispy head. Aroma - fruity, esters, some malt. Mouthfeel - medium and creamy. Flavour - very sweet, too sweet. Overall - not bad but not great.

What a name for a beer, I wish it lived up to it's name. Colour - clear reddish brown, off-white head. Aroma - citrusy, grainy, caramel. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - alcohol is present, some sweet malt. Overall - not bad, sould have thought it would be better.

I was told this would ruin me forever for IPAs - not so. Colour - hazt rust colour, this off white head. Aroma - citrus, pine, weak grass. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - a hoppish onslaught, grapefruit. Overall - better than most Stone beers

Sampled this at a party - certainly not something I could afford myself Bottle is 5 years old. Colour - viscous, reddish brown, cloudy, no head. Aroma - alcohol...alcohol, butterscotch, and licorice. Mouthfeel - thick, creamy, smooth. Flavour - very sweet, caramel, candy sugary. Overall - an excellent rare treat.

Can (newly available in Ontario). Colors - a solid black pour, similar to a thin motor oil, creamy brown head. Aroma - roasted malt, vanilla. Mouthfeel - thick and creamy. Overall - a very bitter beer. While good, needed some more 'sweetness' to cut through the bitterness.

I'm told this is the quintessential craft beer and it is now available in Ontario in cans. Can. Colour - a golden amber, good effervescence, this off-white head. Aroma - grapefruit, cereals, yeast, and spices. Mouthfeel - almost full bodied, well carbonated. Flavour - it starts off a little malty, but after that, it's all about the hops. And that is a good thing.

Bottle. Colour – transparent orange, white head, good lacing. Aroma – cereal malt, light spices, light herbal hops, some yeast. Mouthfeel – Medium bodied, good carbonation. Flavour – quite malty and heavy on the cereal grains, weak hop finish but doesn’t balance out the malt

Bottle. Colour – transparent golden amber, white foamy head, good lacing. Aroma – grains, light caramel, light floral hop notes. Mouthfeel – medium bodied, ample carbonation. Flavour – nicely balanced between the malted grains and the bitter hops. While it may be a better than average lager, it is a below average beer.
