Growler. Colour - cloudy brown, no cap. Aroma - yeast, caramel, herbs. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - sweet and malty, some nuttiness. Overall - excellent ale despite the macro connections.

Growler. Colour - hazed light amber, generous white cap. Aroma - pine, citrus, grains. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - quite hoppy, weak grapefruit, some sweet malt. Overall - good.

Growler. Colour - solid dark brown, 1" brown cap. Aroma - roasted malt, licorice, coffee, chocolate. Mouthfeel - medium to full bodied. Flavour - balanced between bitter and sweet, ending with bitter. Overall - very good take on an old style.

Growler. Colour - black, thin tan cap, good lacing. Aroma - coffee, chocolate, molasses. Mouthfeel - full bodied. Flavour - roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses. Overall - very good for the style.

Canned Irish Ale. Colour - clear, red, tan coloured cap. Aroma - grains, caramel, some hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - malt, caramel, burnt sugar. Overall - easily forgettable

Aroma: 4 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 4 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

Draught, Bottled. Colour - clear gold, generous white head, no lacing. Aroma - barley malt, aluminum, hops. Mouthfeel - weak to watery. Flavour - very grainy, malt sweetness, hops. Overall - not as easy drinking as a North American macro, but with more cpomplexity.

Draught, Canned. Colour - clear, red, tan coloured cap. Aroma - stale grains, weak caramel, some hops. Mouthfeel - weak bodied. Flavour - slightly sweet, grainy. Overall - not very good for today's market.

Did a Schneider tasting over the weekend. Colour - golden brown, hazy, fluffy tab head. Aroma - banana, spice, yeast, wheat. Mouthfeel - medium bodied and creamy. Flavour - sweet and spicy. Overall - excellent.

Did a Schneider tasting over the weekend, all of which were fantastic. Colour - dark golden brown, hazy, huge foamy tan head. Aroma - banana, spice, yeast, wheat and alcohol. Mouthfeel - medium to full bodied and creamy. Flavour - very sweet, brown sugar and spicy. Overall - excellent.

Did a Schneider tasting over the weekend, all were delicious. Colour - dark golden brown, hazy, fluffy tab head. Aroma - banana, spice, citrus, yeast, and wheat. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - sweet malt, spices, and yeast. Overall - excellent.

236 Schneider Weisse Tap 7: Schneider Weisse Original Germany Hefeweizen 4.6

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 10 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Did a Schneider tasting over the weekend, all were excellent. Colour - hazy medium gold with a snow white head. Aroma - wheat, banana, and cloves . Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - sweet malt, backed by clove and citrus notes. Overall - excellent, turned out to be a great tune up for the heavier Schneiders yet to come.

237 Georg Schneider’s Wiesen Edel-Weisse Germany Hefeweizen 4.2

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8

Did a Schneider tasting over the weekend and this was my least favourite, but it was also the last and it was hard to live up to the others. Colour - light golden brown, with a foamy off-white head. Aroma - wheat malt, spice, citrus and yeast. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - nicely balanced by the sweetness of the wheat and the citrusy bitterness. Overall - excellent.

238 La Chouffe Belgium Belgian Strong Ale 4.5

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Nice big bottle of a yeasty belgian beer. Colour - cloudy gold colour with light brown edges, and a light tan rocky cap. Aroma - light fruits, yeast, citrus, and grains. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - tasted like a tripel style with a combination of fruity sweetness, and yeasty bitterness. Overall - another excellent beer in a weekend of excellent beers.

An old favourite that comes back every now and then. Colour - clear medium gold, red hues, no head. Aroma - grainy malt, hops, lots of fresh ginger. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - slightly sweet, very gingery. Overall - decent.

Not one of C'est What's better beers. Colour - clear medium gold, frothy white head. Aroma - weak grassy, light fruit, perfumy hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - grainy, light, finishes bitter. Overall - decent.

The quintessential session beer at C'est What. Colour - clear, light brownish-gold, creamy white cap. Aroma - sweet malt, toffee, hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - slightly sweet, fruity, bitter finish, no aftertaste. Overall - dvery good.

This was the first smoked beer I ever tried, not my favourite of the style. Colour - clear reddish-brown, reminiscent of an Abbey Ale, creamy off-white head. Aroma - wood smoke, caramel, hops . Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - roasted nuts, smoked wood, and charcoal. Overall - decent.

A must try for any visitor to C'est What. Colour - transparent light reddish-gold, big creamy off-white head. Aroma - grains, sweet malt, weak hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - grainy with some caramel sweetness. Overall - easy drinking.

This was pretty thin for a stout. Colour - dark brown beer, creamy light brown head. Aroma - chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Mouthfeel - thin to medium bodied. Flavour - sweet chocolate, coffee. Overall - decent.

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but for some reason it's okay in beer. Colour - brownish black pour, huge frothy brown head. Aroma - chocolate, coffee, dark malt. Mouthfeel - medium to full bodied. Flavour - coffee and a hint of sweet chocolate. Overall - pretty good.

The Coffee Porter redone with hazelnut. Colour - brownish-black pour, light brown head. Aroma - coffee, chocolate, nutella. Mouthfeel - medium to full bodied. Flavour - strong coffee notes with chocolate and molasses hints. Overall - good.

This is my least favourite C'est What beverage. Colour - solid brown colour, light brown this head. Aroma - grainy malt, butterscotch, acid. Mouthfeel - thin to medium bodied. Flavour - artificial was the word used by people, I'll second that. Almost had a metallic sense in the mouth Overall - below average.

I seemed to like this better than most of my friends, it is an easy drinking ale. Colour - clear medium gold, no head. Aroma - grais, light fruits, a hint of butterscotch, perfumy hops. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - sweet, grainly, some citrusy notes. Overall - enjoyable.

The first time I tried this, I didn't like it, but after trying it several more times, it became like an old standby. Colour - clear rusty red colour, weak off-white head. Aroma - grains, hops, weak fruits, and a hint of rye. Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - dry, grainy, with some sweet notes mixed in. Overall - good.

250 C'est What Steve's Dreaded Chocolate Orange Ale Canada Porter 3.6

I've tried this many times and I still don't feel the chocolate and the orange mesh well together. Colour - dark brown, creamy light brown head. Aroma - chocolate. coffee, citrus. Mouthfeel - medium to full bodied. Flavour - all over the place with the roasted flavours very disstinct from the orange flavour, almost like they separate. Overall - decent.
