Poured with a big white fluffy head. Can't really see the color because I am using a plastic cup (travelling). Smells of cloves, pepper, bannana, nuts... awesome aromas. Nice crisp, clean mouthfeel sweet biscuity malts lay the backdroup for all the spicey flavors that were present in the nose. A great beer.

Poured copper/aluminum color with huge pillowy white head. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of aromatic hops and that characteristic yeasty smell that comes off a lot of English "real" ales. Thin to medium body that is at the same time crisp and refreshing, yet sweet and full. Biscuity sweet malt flavors, little to no alcohol presence, muted English hops in the background. This is what I expect when I sit down to an Enlgish ale. Very nice combination of full malt complexity without being too sweet or oily.

Pours aluminum color with minimal head. Hops present in the nose, with vanilla, oaky aromas. Medium bodied brew, about what I expected from a strong ale, with nice malt presence balanced by gentle hop flavors. Some alcohol present, but not too much for the style. Very well balanced: strong back bone, but allows plenty of malt subtleties to unfold as it warms, accented by "background" hops.

Had this on cask in London. The word for this beer is "subdued." Nice pour, average sized white head. Some light grassy hops in the aroma. Nice mouthfeel with less hop bitterness than one would expect from an IPA, balanced out with sweet maltiness. I enjoyed this beer, very drinkable, but also very quiet in terms of overall flavor. Nonetheless, a well-balanced enjoyable beer.

Poured golden with smallish white head. Some yeast and clean subdued maltiness in the aroma. The mouthfeel was nice- more substantial than I expected from the pour. Some sourness, slightly sweet with very little hop presence. Not a bad beer, but nothing to write home about.
