New rating average

I hope everyone noticed right away that the ratings changed :). I also changed the beer pages to show percentiles and standard deviation. I made these numbers months ago but wanted something better. After wasting at least 10 hours on that something better, it turned into a mess. So, I'm sticking with this for now. Major Changes: 1) Only reviews made by members who have made at least 10 reviews are factored into the score. Hundreds of members left one to a few reviews and never set foot on beerpal again. Many of these were junk, such as 10's or 2's across the board. Now they have to try a little harder to have them count. 2) Scores are weighted in relation to how many reviews have been made. This is similar to what some other rating sites do. I'm not totally happy with this method of weighting, but it's better than a straight average. 3) Scores are measured to 3 decimal places, instead of 2.

In Reply To #1 I find these changes to be statistically superior to former methods. At-a-boy, Flash! I knew Belgians were better than Barleywines! (Muhahahahaa - ok, I've never even had a Barleywine, but...)
In Reply To #4 Ha ha, nice observations. The reason is simple. I started changing them last night and have a lot more pages of code to alter, so there will be discrepancies for a few days most likely. It's a real bitch! And you hit the nail right on the head about the top beer list.
