Mead, anyone?
Non-Beer Discussion by KENDO_SURF
I have yet to obtain a bottle of mead. I'd like to do that. The Bunratty Mead seems to be the "real" one...no added fruit flavors.

Bonus Vid. Barrel Hitch might be interesting; I've never tried a whisley that didn't burn. I have the exact same 750ml bottle (empty) of Mellow Corn. Contrary to Irishster Dermot's opinion, I think the bottle is attractive. Nice to discover that my desktop tower and curved screen monitor are exact in rendering the colors and tones of the real bottle!

As to the flavor...well, it's praised by some whiskey critics. That's why I bought it. I think it's about par for strong whiskey. $15.99 + tax for a 750ml. I can get better $ deals.

It's confusing, but it seems that there is Bunratty Meade (as in illustration) and Bunratty Mead. The real mead one is the one I would like to obtain...? :I

I guess, if available at all, mead would be found in a liquor store. Any brand recommendations from BeerPal? There's a fairly large store to the north that might have mead...

Two parts water, one part honey, your favorite wine yeast. Burp it once in a while, rack it after a few weeks, bottle after another month. Taste a bottle every 3 months. GTG in a year or three.
