Yes Alesmith Speedway Stout is a very good beer. I have no complaints about it being #1 at all. I guess as far as wondering if its better than Rochefort 10 is probably a matter of style preference. Both are near the top of thier respective styles IMO.

I have never had Rochefort 10, but I have had Speedway and it is AMAZING. amazing. I hear the barrel-aged is even better, but I haven't had the pleasure of sampling that one quite yet though.

I wish I could try some AleSmith beers, but as far as I know they're only available locally, or maybe even only at the brewery. That's why it took so long for Speedway to reach the required 10 reviews to be on the top list.

Is this beer bottled or just available at the brewery, anyone know for sure. I have a buddy that is going to be out there and if it is bottled he will be able to get me some.

That is good to know because that means I might be able to get some of their line-up and review them myself.

In Reply To #5 Alesmith bottles all of their beer and they are all damn good brews. The Speedway is an incredible beer, but the Barrel-aged version of the speedway is even better.
