Non-Beer Discussion by KENDOSURF
My online searches have shown that ProtonMail and Tutanota may be the two very best in the world! :) When I see a site recommending Gmail, Yahoo, Yandex, etc. I click out and go looking for a more reliable source of information. >:( Nevertheless, there are others out there, often located in Europe, that are far better than the "regular" email clients we are accustomed to. Privacy and Security are top priorities, and some do provide free service (not merely a free-to-try option). https://nordvpn.com/blog/tutanota/

Supposing that nobody wants to continue discussion here, I guess this will be my final post to the Best Email Providers thread. :) Tutanota also provides a comparison chart to four other PrivateSecure providers. https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/secure-email-security-measures/ https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/how-to-leave-google-gmail/
Didn't expect to be back so soon, if at all! :o I threw caution to the wind and shut off ALL browser add-ons in Firefox for Linux. Lesson Learned! Just set Firefox to Standard as the Main security/privacy, then turn off anything and everything in the other settings that asks if you want to share, etc...even with Mozilla !!! I wouldn't even have attempted this in Windows, but the Panopticlick, AmIUnique, and BrowserAudit results seem conclusive! :) https://panopticlick.eff.org/results?aat=1&fpi_whorls=%7B%22v2%22%3A%7B%22audio%22%3A%2235.73833402246237%22%2C%22canvas_hash_v2%22%3A%22f139fb61b2b20249d81082f9012141dc%22%2C%22webgl_hash_v2%22%3A%22c8d86e8b93988fe45bc711c813850c5a%22%7D%7D#fingerprintTable https://amiunique.org/fp https://browseraudit.com/results/52401/85f24314d45c362aebb3249e2f211c5e0c286cd8 However, I didn't delete the privacy software. Still there if wanted or needed. ;)
IMHO StartMail and ixquick are certainly better than the regular providers that we all know and love (sic) :D
Opera is now owned by a Chinese Consortium. I don't trust them and no longer have Opera on my computer.
You may choose to explore the net regarding options similar to StartMail and ixquick, etc? Numerous email providers out there. Search engines, such as DuckDuckGo and Qwant?
I have several links ready to insert, but they won't "take" right now... :-I
ixquick takes you here. https://www.startpage.com/
OK Flash...awkward for me, but I'll get used to it. :I
