MOLSON GOLDEN: A really good brew, once again!
General Beer Discussion by KENDOSURF
[:)] I'm pleased to announce that the current version of Molson Golden is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT ( **** - ***** ) in spite of the green bottles. [:0] https://www.origlio.com/beverage/molson-golden [8)] It's not the same as the 1984. That one had a more pronounced, nicely-done, bitterness. [8D] Today's version is rounder but hops flavor is there. I can't taste corn or anything off. The code is OCT0118. I think the current bottle label is OK but the past one was better. Thank you MolsonCoors Colorado for putting a very good macro Canadian "Cream Ale" on the market. [;)]

I recall seeing an ad in a bar window in Iowa City that proudly touted that Miller Lite was made with Iowa corn. I don't recall seeing another macro promote that they used corn adjuncts! [:D] Probably has more to do with the location than with the brand name.
Yeah. I get it. I just haven't seen promotion of corn adjuncts for a macro before or since.

{KendoSurf contemplates}... IMO: This beer is limited by its probable adjunct content. Corn and/or Rice; an American Style Adjunct Lager. Yeah, it's very good...to perhaps an 88% if given a percentile rating? [8)] Schlitz Erlanger, by comparison...a virtual 100% for an American Style Lager...probably didn't contain adjuncts. [:p] It seems very difficult to find ASL's instead of ASAL's nowadays. Are Europeans still brewing German Rules' Lager Beers? If so, which ones?? Are there any that are reasonably possible to find in the US??? In NYS???? In CNY????? [?][?][?][?][?][?]
This review: Special K sez Corny, but I'd say Grainy instead...not specifically a Corn flavor. I've drank a few Mexican corny beers lately. They seem to use "Corn Meal" flavor; it's not merely adjunct corn flavor coming through the mix. [;)] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzsBaPr9Ii8 Three years old, but mostly accurate. Good Kentucky Beer Review. [8D]
6 row barley is the culprit. Works Well with added junk has a high enzyme count as I recall...being the bier Nazi I am....a tinny of Foster's green for me mates! (coors/molson/sab/miller) almost always corn base...Wiper courts the rice lobby. here is a pdf from Molson: https://www.molsoncoors.com/en/Responsibility/~/media/9825ABFAB4F64A1E8E59693BD2661FFE.ashx
