And Three Floyds EASILY instead of Flying Dog. I like the Gonzo label...the rest are just ugly.

Three Floyds is the first beer I came across with waxed tops, so it always stuck in my mind. I am not sure if Anderson Valley originated it but the "BEER" (Deer/Bear) animal is a piece of brilliance. I think many Mikkeller bottles are also works of art, but in the context of this article, do not establish a clear brand image, and so are not functional as "branding" mechanisms I guess...

Read the article and found it very interesting. The professor comes off as a liberal crackpot. Jason does a good job of providing a lawyerly answer. i.e., technically correct if not at least a little disingenuous. The REAL story is in the reader comments. VERY interesting, indeed. Thanks for sharing, thomassova4. I like how you can trace the evolution of the beer's name from original to controversial to present.
